Helldivers 2 - OK game. Community was worthless. Company went balls deep to pander to them and learned their lesson.

Palworld - biggest overhyped turd of the year. Gave it an honest swag but couldn’t see what was so compelling about it. I don’t play Pokémon games, and haven’t since… Christ. Are the games so bad nowadays that something like Palworld becomes revered so highly? Why do these idiots keep buying them?

Stellar Blade - standard action RPG shit with tits and bad English voice acting. Nice looking game, couldn’t hold my interest past a few hours.

Wukong - See above, minus the tits. One of the best looking games (most of the time) I’ve ever played. Ran great too. Just kind of boring.

Palworld is the open world Pokemon game that people have been clamoring for for probably 20+ years at this point while Nintendo ignored them. That was the main draw in the first place, but then people found out it also had base building survival mechanics and also (inexplicably) literal guns. It was a perfect storm of being what the market was demanding and also being bizarre and quirky enough to attract an audience outside the pokemon sphere.

I'm a Mystfag but the Riven remake(not remaster) was not a big release. It's a remake of an extremely niche game known for filtering the hell out of people inside of an extremely niche genre that modern gamers scoff at.

That's part of what makes that game so good. You really can just do whatever the fuck you want with the NPCs. They included all sorts of shit that would be considered woke in any other game but they refused to steal your agency. Put as many bear fucking options in the game as you want but let me say no or throw the fucker off a cliff and we're golden. I imagine the fags at WotC were pissed that you could do that in the first place.

Compare that to what I heard about Dustborn, where there's a scene where you're forced to unlock your 'bully' power by forcing some NPC to look at data or whatever. If that was just an option I'd be fine with that but it's not, it's part of the story you have to play through. Can't even call that playing the game at that point because you're just watching a story some retard wrote. It's probably because they know most people won't want to do that and wouldn't want to do most of the other shit in the game.

That's what confounds me about these people trying to take over TTRPGs of all things. I could take the new D&D books content from apps that are going to get leaked right now with all their messaging and pictures of kind orcs and throw all of that out the window. Tell the group the orcs they're fighting are drooling mongoloids birthed form pits of shit driven to madness by the eternal chirps of the vile wizard Smokus Alarmus (immune to fire) and there's nothing some exec could do about it.

This is literally what me and my friends always did.
Any woke elements get gutted and replaced with something more appropriate to the setting, and its much much more fun that way.
It's even more fun to enter into conversations on Discord and/or Reddit and share your homebrews and watch the absolute fucking shitstorm that ensues because you wont play the source material. 10/10 highly recommended.

It bums me out that Sony will fund a piece of shit like Concord to the tune of 200 million but Vanillaware has run out of money three seperate times developing Dragon's Crown, Thirteen Sentinels, and now Unicorn Overlord.

In Unicorn Overlord's case the CEO funded the last stages of development out of his own pocket.

All of those are great high quality games too.

Riven is my GOTY. What a refreshing game. No bullshit, just a very beautiful experience. Not everyone’s cup, but I loved winding down with the game after work while it lasted.

But it also won. It had lost, however, every time the anti-GGers faced even a little bit of scrutiny for their actions or words, they invoked GG as some short of undead wraith and browbeat everyone into silence. They did that so many times that GG managed to resurrect itself in the form of GG 2.0 and this version is winning. Woke gaming sites are closing left and right, woke games fail and the SJWs can do nothing about it. And it spread elsewhere too. People boycott woke stuff on every industry. Movies, TV, beverages, everything. GG might be dead but many inherited its spirit. And now it has a worthy successor in GG 2.0.

Without power leveling too much I look over resumes like this often to hire into 6 fig jobs. Every asshole even applying for jr engineer spots is a director at their own non profit, cto of their own startup. It's all fake and gay. That sre engineer one in the middle is probably the worst of them all. These profiles don't even stand out as middle management worthy.
