Frankly, I think the majority of people in this thread have done a pretty commendable job tempering their expectations. The general consensus established early on was that this is probably ending in a suspended sentence with probation.

That's why if Balldo gets probation, he's not really not gonna be able to claim a W over the evil Karen Farms. And if he tries, we can laugh. That's an L by any reasonable measure, and it's the L most people expected.

There's maybe an outside chance they'll put the screws to him because he's such an asshole, but it's called an outside chance for a reason. It's Minnesota, and he's still a first-time offender.

A good lesson to draw up on here is Ralph and his revenge porn case. A lot of people thought that we wouldn't be hearing from the ragepig for a while. Instead, he walked out the courtroom with a suspended sentence and crowing about "God's plan."
