Does it being a social contagion make it any less “genuine”? “Gender dysphoria” isn’t a condition, it’s a symptom. Whether it’s caused by a social contagion, or by some heretofore undiscovered congenital fuckup in their brain chemistry, it doesn’t actually matter because the treatment is the same either way.

When I first joined the farms on a diff account in 2016, this is how most people here felt, myself included. Everyone was respectful of troons because most of us thought they were HSTS and also adults. We were actually a super liberal site. It's just that being liberal then is considered fascism now, and conversion therapy is celebrated. This feels very homophobic and misogynistic to people who are capable of independent thought and who dont take to social conditioning as easily as normies.

I was just thinking about this. One good place to see this change is in the TERF omnibus thread, started 2015.

Sure, some of it is user turnover, but a lot of people didn't have any idea what was coming around the bend. It's a time capsule.

A big part of CBT for restrictive eating disorders is also teaching the patient to deprioritize their dysphoria and to learn to how to better frame their relationship with food and their body so that those things no longer feel more important than family, friends, hobbies, etc. It‘s funny because this is basically the opposite of the trans cult, which tells you to immediately cut off anything or anyone that doesn’t immediately ~affirm~ you.

Clothing swaps are usually between groups of friends who are the same size. I'm sure you can see the problem with this already.
I have a feeling it's a thing mostly girls in their 20s do. Or used to. I don't know what 20 yo do now, they don't sound like they even go outside.

Yeah, the ONLY time I've even heard of this is Hollywood movie/TV shit where there's a makeover scene, and all the girls bring their clothes/makeup/hairstyling crap to "fix" the dowdy (read- wearing glasses) one. It's as realistic as teen girls wearing Victoria's Secret lingerie while having a pillow fight.

Just for the record, the user in the screenshot, the appropriately-named @RealMayun turned out to be a secret troon if anyone is unaware. He had some big trolls remorse meltdown a while ago.
