Before they started scrubbing his history from the net, he flat out admitted he joined for the GI Bill.

These guys were everywhere in the 80's and 90's. They avoided deployments and actual work like the plague, but were always there when it was time to hand out awards or get deployments like Crete or Italy or France.

The fact he was a Nasty Girl and they act like he was out there single handedly fighting the Taliban is hilarious. That's not to say that the Nasty Girls didn't pull more than their fair share (Bush deployed the Nasty Girls to get around the minimum rotation recovery period for active duty because Congress wouldn't increase the amount of troops), but people like Walz avoided it like the plague.

Not that I think discussing Batman is going to be a productive exercise, but the recent Matt Reeves' Batman movie dealt with the Waynes trying to fix Gotham by throwing money at its problems and they ended up creating the largest money laundering operation in the history of Gotham.

It's actually been covered quite a lot in the media.
