When Russia doctors give drugs to athletes, it’s state-sanctioned doping. When American doctors give drugs to athletes, it’s just therapy.

The scoring system is dumb because it incentivizes failing at “harder” tricks over successfully executing “easier” tricks.
 
They should just allow doping in sports. I've never understood why it gets peoples panties in a twist. These athletes are already doing crazy shit to get to the top. Sports psychologist, sleeping in oxygen chambers, cortisone shots on deck. Sport will take a toll on their bodies- blown out knees, TBIs, broken bones, hip replacements, hell one of the equestrian competitors was missing an eye from falling off a horse. LET THE ATHLETES LIVE THEIR DOPING FANTASY!!!!!!

There are two sets of judges - the difficulty judges construct a score starting at 0 based on what moves you do, but not how well you do them. The execution judges deduct a score starting from 10.0 for each time the gymnast makes a mistake. A gymnast can only submit an inquiry to the difficulty judges because it's supposed to be the more objective score. Execution always stands.

It's also a little more complicated - the gymnast or coach has to basically "guess" which part of their routine they think the judges made a mistake on calculating the difficulty of, and if the judges are petty they can instead decide to lower your score! It also costs money, beginning at 300USD, and you only get your money back if the inquiry is successful.

Having just watched the 400m women's hurdles, it sure looks like they already do allow it. Winner smashed the world record without breaking a sweat, second and third looked like they were completely spent.
 
Serbia is currently beating USA in basketball 76-67. Serves America right for getting 41 year olds to play in their behalf and harassing the opposing team. Missing 3-pointers left and right.

Edit: Serbia lost 95-91, USA pushed late and got free throws. They even swapped a fresh guy in at the last minute.

Every point System ruins it's Sport eventually. Just look at pretty much any martial arts. The olympics have done massive damage to so many sports, it hate them.

If you can medal at the Olympics with the coof, perhaps we should all finally acknowledge that it is in fact a nothingburger and not airborne EbolaAIDS.
