Heck even Jonah Goldberg long before trump had an article chronicling all the times old, dead republicans were used to beat up current republicans - no matter the insane things said about those republicans back then.

They're phrasing is interesting and I think reveals something about their projection.

They always some variant of "lost to right-wing news source" as if the people they are talking about have no independent thoughts. They never seem to realize how much of it are their family noticing stuff and latching onto Rush (now Tucker) or Fox because those people also notice the same thing. They all seem to believe this stuff wouldn't exist if the leader wasn't around, never that it really is an organic growth.

Which makes you wonder about them and how lost they are to the media...

If I’m being blatant, calling anyone that is not your father, mother or grandparents and replacing it through the form of love for politicians or elites that fund these politicians is no different from celebrity worship in Hollywood.

If we had to get told that worshipping Trump is no different from cult worship, why do these people get a pass for something that looks just like simping for a cult leader?
