They're so all over the place on this, they'll say "TERFs are so stupid, because they think that women having facial hair makes them less of a woman" then they'll go out and get their facial hair lasered out because they think that not having facial hair makes them more of a women. Which is it? One thing I've learned by seeing all these troon posts is that they never seem to believe in a single version of the truth, their whole world view runs on a weird fuzzy logic where multiple contradictory talking points are all true at the same time.
To be fair, transvestigators do gaslight themselves into believing some extremely stupid shit. I think people need to accept that they aren't going to be able to tell 100% of the time. But that passing (which in and of itself is extremely subjective because even a passing troon won't pass in the eyes of everyone at all times) doesn't make someone any less male or any more entitled to female spaces.

And yet very obviously a woman. She looks frumpy because her posture is not great. But even so, nothing about her says troon to me. I really don't like it when people shit on women who are not conventionally attractive or put together by implying they look like men because to me even the most unfortunately looking woman still screams woman, and it comes off as misogynistic. If anyone ever brings up this retarded talking point, please ask them to list what exactly those "characteristics" are, and then ask how they are shared by females across the animal kingdom.
In other words, what "characteristics" are possessed in common by female humans but also by female muskrats, female salmon, and female termites, which allow us to classify all of these as "female"?
It's not smaller stature (if anything, smaller size is more common in males)
It's not chromosomes (sex chromosomes vary greatly within the animal kingdom)
It's not breasts (other animals don't even have those and most species don't even lactate)
It's not having a vagina (plenty of species where both sexes have a cloaca. Some female insects even have a large penetrating organ called an ovipositor, picture below)
It's not "social roles" (most species don't even have sociality, let alone social roles)
It's not even gestating young (most species don't, and in some rare cases the males gestate)
The. Only. Thing. That. Works. Is. Gametes. That's what females have in common, they are set up to produce large immotile gametes. That's what "female" means.

It applies to clownfish too, though. When a male clownfish becomes female, he stops producing small gametes and develops the apparatus to produce large gametes. Clownfish really do change sex. Humans who think they can do so are only beclowning themselves.

If someone brings up clownfish, ask them to clarify what they mean by "changing sex" specifically. Because fish or amphibians "changing sex" does not work even on a conceptual level unless you accept the gamete-based definition of sex first.
If you try to apply the "sex is just a bunch of characteristics we randomly group together" definition to clownfish: well, which other characteristics change when a clownfish changes from male to female?
Number one: a clownfish gets bigger when it turns female. Huh, that's weird, because "being bigger" seems to work the opposite way when it comes to male and female primates.
What about behavior? Well, female clownfish are more aggressive and territorial, and can even attack humans trying to clean their tanks. Damn, that characteristic is useless as well, since it doesn't apply to the "female" category in most mammals.
Fertilized clownfish eggs are cared for by the male.
So, all these characteristics that we would have to apply to "females" when talking about most mammals (smaller size, lack of aggression and lack of territorial dominance, caring for young) actually apply to clownfish males.
So why are male clownfish classified as males, exactly? Why do we say that they change "from male to female" when they get bigger and more aggressive? Shouldn't it be the other way around, given that a female clownfish's behavior and appearance matches up better with what we think of as "male" when it comes to primates?
(Answer: because the female produces large gametes and the male produces small ones. Because that's what sex actually is, and everything else is pseudoscientific anthropocentric bullshit)
Unfortunately (and I'm not even being a condescending ass here, it's just reality) most people just don't have the brainpower to think this stuff through. And among those who do, the majority will still quietly ignore it because social consensus is more important to them than biological reality.
