I know people keep bugging you about the body cam, and you have my sympathies, but there's something else that I feel hasn't been mentioned in a while.

Where are we at with the petition to get a recording/livestream of the omnibus hearing to be held on the 21st? That's coming up fast.

Law & Crime is one of the detractors that is probably giddy right now, but you almost hate to see it.

What they did was genuinely gay. They were trying to claim that they have exclusive access to footage from a press pool camera, and to get Rekieta to stop streaming because he was successful competition to their own talking head coverage. The whole point of a press pool camera is to provide footage to everybody.

It's one of those situations where you kinda had to take Nick's side. Not just for him, but the greater good.

Funny though that Nick was a champion for free access to governmental proceedings then, but wants his own shit cloaked in darkness.

Small town Minnesota, this is likely the DAs highest profile case by a longshot. Hell even the judge from the montagraph case was originally assigned to it because the county has 3 presiding judges

Yes. In addition the baseless claims of a plot against Rekieta are being primarily spread by Bob Barnes who is a guest on Rekieta's show (including in recent weeks) and also worked on the same cases with Nick's new lawyer Frank White.

Barnes is the attack dog using his platform to spread insane theories about Rekieta's situation and slander the people who aren't defending Nick 100% of the time. Nick repeatedly points his viewers to Barnes' commentary while keeping himself at arms length from the actual crazy things Barnes is claiming about Nick's case.

The closest thing I can think of Nick himself saying is when he baselessly claimed the people involved knew the probable cause was "bullshit".

The above was already saved as a draft but yes, that's exactly right.

But it's not just that the guy is a Barneswalker, since there are pre-existing links between White and Barnes, it is plausible that Rekieta was referred by Barnes to White. I don't know if Nick has confirmed or denied that, but it seems likely.

When the footage comes out, Nick is gonna have to skip town. Maybe in Mexico with Ralph.
But then again the terms of his sentence may mean he’s no allowed to leave the country.
