I found it interesting the writer of this was aware of the Tomlinson expenditure and that it was a literally insane way of pissing away six figures in member fees.
Also even though he was a racist, he didn't name that cat from his childhood. He did put a cat of that name in "The Rats in the Walls," though. Anyway most of the people who now hate him for silly shit like that aren't worthy of licking his boots.
He was fairly extreme even for the time in his language but there's no indication he ever actually did anything discriminatory toward anyone. He ardently supported Hitler (until his true colors became apparent and as an ardent Anglophile HPL had no tolerance for anyone attacking Britain), but then he had a Jewish literary agent, married a Jewish woman, and many of the younger writers he mentored and corresponded with were Jewish, notably Robert Bloch, the author of Psycho.
I’m actually embarrassed for him. This is the kind of thing anybody with a quarter ounce of self awareness would cringe about if they came across it years later, especially if you looked like the pillsbury dough boy. he just directs his followers to it like it’s nothing.
