If the claim he is on holiday next week is true then things will get worse. Because either he will go on it and every sane source that hates him will point out that he has claimed the situation is so dire he is creating a new police taskforce and planning to crack down on civil liberties but apparently not so serious he can't fuck off for some time off.
Seeing videos of your police... lol. A new taskforce is not stopping these riots. Military could. But that would also be a complete admission that Stamer has lost control. It would cost him a fuck ton politically.

That's unironically it, the police are mainly trying to push the crowds into the peaceful arms of the Muslims so they deal with them. The Muslims are just a symphtom, the government and the police are the real illness.
The taskforce will not control the riots. It'd take months to have that sort of group ready to go.
Before the video up thread I would have called this crazy. If it's not doctored it's someone telling people carrying weapons (a crime) to conceal them in the mosque (a crime and one that suddenly changes that mosque from a place of worship to a criminal enterprise) and all will be fine (the police will ignore these crimes).

One of my big brain takes is that riots that the police don't stomp down are used as a form of hard coercion to get local business owners to sell up for cheap. So yeah someone's winning that fire sale. Expect more Turkish Barbers, Vape shops and takeaways in Lidderpool.
