I really hope that they reveal that all of the Haley gang messages were from production and that no one actually likes her. She’s genuinely the least likeable contestant in fishtank history.

If you throw away the notion that you're supposed to evaluate these people based on whether you would be friends with them in real life then yeah she's good. Not a great villain but better than Damiel for sure. I would hate to talk to her for longer than ten seconds and that's why she's good.

for haley, idk why but i havent really found her that compelling

I like that the solution to her getting physical with Shadi is to let Shadi nail her a few times before Ben bothers with it, in essence proper feedback and deterrence from dumb hoe shit

I don't like the fighting either. It reminds me too much if breaking up dogs fighting where they seize on each other. I could watch nasty Wafflehouse scraps anytime I want. But they have boxing themes throughout, conditioning the participants to hit and take hits, and the climaxes of the show involve physical blow-ups they incite.

Most the contestants don't think of it as a show in the moment and put that in perspective or think about what the audiance wants. Jules literally sat down and told Claire and Shadi that the premise of bitchtank is to bitch it up and to be bitchy. Without Haley or the two hating on her it'd be literal nontent save for the guest appearences. The hate triangle should be kept alive to the bitter end because it's what drives the show.

I think the viewers should follow their guts and root for whoever they like the most. I think you'd take much of the fun out of the show if everyone were to start trying to evaluating the contestants performances according to some imagined criteria as if they were in a figure skating competition or something. I think that's a fool's errand anyway.

Of course what the viewers want isn't necessarily what they need, which is why this isn't a popularity contest either.

A contestant being extremely unlikeable will always be better than a contestant who’s completely neutral and is akin to a lamp in the background. I’d prefer a Brian to a Shinji any day of the week because it’s fun to watch the Brian character’s downfall.
