Yup. Best case scenario it reveals their true colors as that they didn't want freedom nor democracy, they just wanted to seize power but won't walk the walk or risk their own skin fighting an incredibly uphill battle mostly unarmed against police and military.

They are not, earlier this morning Tarek and Maduro announced they were going to open a investigation on her for election interference using the supposed "hack" from north macedonia the problem is they cant prove that without putting the system on the open to be audited to see what the damage was, if she does the fable GO TO THE STREETS AND BURN SHIT thats insta jail under the law against hate and blah blah blah that he pulled out of his ass to jail political prisoners

I know is shit but the main goal here is to not giving him excuses to arrest her or to force her to leave the country

Edit: funny enough protest are getting worse, people did not went home

From the safety of my home in MURICA I would say it's past the time of worrying about getting arrested by Maduro's thugs, it's time to get rid of them

I knew the instant that Maduro was gonna get bodied from the results they were gonna pull the plug. Venezuelans are the most buck broken people in Latin America, which is goddamn impressive given you have fucking Argentina and the Central American states to compare to.

Unless they actually nut up and fucking Ceausescu Maduro or keep up and ignore the "Opposition" then this will die.

I am a believer of Occam's Razor. There are two scenarios here:

1. The people of Venezuela voluntarily re-elected the man whose party is responsible for 130,000% inflation, rolling blackouts, lack of medical care, and crippling economic sanctions, despite just 30 years ago being considered the single most prosperous nation in South America.

2. Communists in charge rigged an election.

Take a hard look at those options and tell me which one seems more plausible.

I am a believer in Hitchens's Razor: what is claimed without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

I am supposed to believe that this election was rigged because a woman that wrote a letter to Benjamin Netanyahu asking him for help with overthrowing the Venezuelan government said so? I'm not convinced.

Remember the US government has tried to overthrow Venezuela many times, including with sanctions which killed 40,000 people and fueled migration. John Bolton himself even admitted on CNN that it was a coup d'etat attempt: https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2022/07/13/john-bolton-coup/

How is the Venezuelan government responsible for unilateral sanctions other nations put on them?

And how does America somehow control literally everything necessary for life in Venezuela? Why can't they trade with China or Russia for those same resources? Russia is doing better under American sanctions and China produces basically all of our goods, so why is trade with America a vital resource for life?
