“One sometimes gets the impression that the mere words ‘Socialism’ and ‘Communism’ draw towards them with magnetic force every fruit-juice drinker, nudist, sandal-wearer, sex-maniac, Quaker, ‘Nature Cure’ quack, pacifist, and feminist in England.”I never said it was commies. Modern left-wing thought pays lip service to socialist ideas, but it's going to attach itself to whatever systems of power it can regardless of economic systems.
Economic systems are very important, but politics and ideology is much more than just resource management. A much more central pillar to left-wing thought to my mind is the systemic breaking down of social bonds, of taboos, culture and mostly of all, faith. All of which are the olds, and whatever system be it capitalism, socialism, or communism serves their aims the best in destroying the olds is what they'll do.
Right now it's not even capitalism, it's an oligarchic technocracy. If anything it's worker's rights as much as parental rights which are retarding the process of destroying those olds. It's also no mystery why when people start to see it and stand up against it they suddenly find faith, they find tradition, they find that maybe we shouldn't try to do all the talmudic things that we've been doing.
