You have to have maxed out your coercion to do that apparently?

But yeah Origins is always fun to play, product of the late 2000s that it is.
Man, as someone who played a few RPG's in the 2000's, it was a breath of fresh air. Dragon Age was 2009, and as far as big names go prior to it only Mass Effect and The Witcher both in 2007 let you be a dick to people without acquiring a world-wide reputation of being an evil dude and without a few cases of dickishness sending one on a path to killing puppies for fun. Jade Empire was 2005, KotOR 2003, KotOR 2 2004, Neverwinter Nights 2002, NWN2 2006, Fallout 3 2008.

Like, holy shit did Jade Empire have a completely fucked morality system. In game the Closed Fist was presented as giving people harshness to help them grow. In reality not a single major Closed Fist choice resulted in a positive outcome, and in fact made the entire world worse off, including the part where you fuck up that goddess with the blood of an innocent to seize her power for yourself. FFS BioWare, I thought I was supposed to be a harsh teacher, not Evil McEvilson.

They did remake the entire ME trilogy faithfully. The only change was the Miranda butt shots.
That wasn't a full remake, just a remaster. ME had some significant work done to play closer to the other two, while ME2 and ME3 were pretty much identical to the originals, minus biutt shots.

Ah I meant a remaster, of Origins which isn’t near as expensive as a remake.

I may have read wrong but I thought ME1 copied the absolutely retarded fucking ammo system that 2 and 3 introduced?
Funnily enough, that was the point where the last ounce of RPG left Bioware and it became an action studio.

They changed the ammo system because some journalist complained it was too complicated.

I think it might actually have been the same retard who couldn't figure out how to jump in Cuphead.

That journalist wants beating to death with a sack of sweet valencia oranges. The ammo/reload ruined the balance of the weapons, which changed the strategy of which companions would fit in where.

Garrus with a Sniper and Wrex with a shotty (me as space mage) was a killer combo. Then they ruined magic and weapons in 2, while smearing your screen in blood.

ME2 was a fucking terrible game and those who say otherwise have to be either functionally braindead or too retarded to understand RPG's. ME2 was ME for niggercattle.

Stop it, you're being mean :(

I liked ME2 a lot, but mostly because of the characters and set pieces. The overall plot was kinda retarded and what should have been refined in terms of gameplay was just thrown out, which sucked. Of course, I'd be the first to say that it barely qualifies as an RPG.

I also think that the introduction of thermal clips was nonsensical and pointless because they were so abundant. There is a mod which sort of adds cool down back in, so that's kinda mitigating the problem.

I'll put it this way;

ME2 is to Mass Effect is what Fallout 3 is to Fallout. As a standalone, fine, as part of the franchise, fucking terrible. ME2 can be removed from the 'trilogy' and nothing important is missed.

Not many franchises are worth more than 1 entry.

Wait how is one of the companions a necromancy if there's no blood magic because "blood magic isn't something wholesome quirk chungus heroes do!"

It's been a while since I played Origins but I'm pretty sure I remember necromancy was explicitly said to be blood magic.

I remember in Mass Effect three, When one of the characters brought up how using clips is stupid and the only argument Sheppard had was "im sure every military organisation disagrees with you".

Its so obvious that Conrad is suppose to represent the sub-section of the playerbase that hated the ideas of clips and shep is the game devs telling them to go fuck themselves.

I think they even brought back some of the older style weapons in a dlc.

Not just the retarded name but cutting Solas entirely from the next game after Inquisition and its DLC was building him up as the next big bad is such a terrible decision it makes you wonder if the game director was smoking crack or something.
whats so fucking hard about keeping the mc from 1 and building from there instead of 4 fucking games in different fucking ballpark one from another

Possibly because Origins has multiple endings and several of them end with the Warden either deceased or crippled.

Many other games have done this though and just had the canon ending be the one where the MC survives so they can be in the sequel.

It absolutely was Dean Takhashi and the man was so fucking incompetent at ME1 he didn't even know you could level your characters up. It is almost entirely due to his total mental disability that ME2 was so horribly dumbed down in gameplay from ME1.

Also, if you think he was bad in Cuphead check out his playthrough of Doom Eternal he did at one of the shows.

I don't think they'd allow you to sell a child's soul to a succubus in exchange for sex either like you can do to Connor in Redcliff
On the contrary, wokesters only care about children when they can use them as a political shield, or to get their gooning off. Catch them in the wild and you'll get all manners of questionable comments about kids, "ironically" of course

Yep. They casualized everything after he published his negative review of ME1. According to him, the game was too difficult. It turned out that he didn't know he could assign points to Shepard and his companions as he leveled up or equip better armors and weapons.
