They've confirmed full nudity in DA:Failguard. I just hope that the same models used for the eyes will be used on the bollocks. Bring on the tezzer physics mid-fight.

Sounds like they're trying to make a much much shittier version of Baldur's Gate 3, Shadowheart was at least moderately easy on the eyes, I was totally fine looking at her butt, who the fuck would want to see any of these characters naked?

Pretty sure when you have no fail state it's no longer a game
Its a visual novel. A very gay one.
Not really, it's a world impacting phenomena that should have entire armies from every nation coming up to help, instead it's one country with the only nearest guys somehow taking the "trust me bro" argument, as if a monster horde race that loves to borrow underground is totally expectable.
It kind of makes political sense sometimes. Especially if they don't have internet and such, and its hard to prove even if you can get a horse rider across with your mail. You pretty much have to give them a demonhead and hope your demons aren't the Warhammer kind that evaporate into thin cocaine mist upon death.

I always just thought as long as the underwear sex disappeared, that would suffice for me.

The same goes with Mass Effect.

A lot of visual novels even have bad outcomes.
they do, and often it's not pretty. but I doubt bioware has the balls for that.

Been a while since I read Lord of the Rings but as I recall, almost entire Middle-earth was dealing with resurgence of orcs and other servants of Sauron so they had to protect their own lands. Plus Tolkien planned all his military campaigns quite well, and only Rohan, and only their riders, were able to react quick enough to help Gondor.
Yep, at one point Gandalf drops info saying the men of Laketown and the local dwarves had to deal with a pretty nasty orc invasion.

A lot of visual novels even have bad outcomes. Or maybe I'm confusing them with those old interactive books, whatever. "Interactive experience" is the right term for non-game slop of that genera, I think.
Bad ends in visual novels can be horrific as hell, sadly very few games allow you to reach that level of failure of pure bad choices without just killing the player character.

Shart got a lot of shit for having a manjaw, but compared to that 52% elf goblin horror she is downright good.

Overall, Shart is pretty decent in looks. She is no anime girl or old Lara Croft, but she is a realistic type of pretty and slim alt girl.

Definately looks better than all the current western competition.

Just like BG3, you too will be able to make a towering giga jacked Barbarian with a viking beard, who has a pussy and goes by they/them pronouns. It'll shock the normies, outrage the chuds, and The Allies™️ will post on reddit and Twitter extra hard for a few weeks.

The fact that devs left in the dialogue option to dismiss her whenever we please is a testament to how badly written she was. Even they knew. Afaik and can remember, no other companions had that, not even Vivienne.

Vivienne, Cassandra, Iron Bull, Solas, and Varric will never leave, because all of them have some agenda that keeps them tied to the Inquisition, even if they hate your guts. (Also because you need at least 3 other companions and one each of mage, rogue, and warrior.)

Blackwall, Dorian, and Cole will ditch you if their Approval gets too low.

Some of these companions can be turned down when they offer to join -- Blackwall, Cole, Vivienne, and Iron Bull for sure; don't remember if it's the case with Dorian -- but once they're in, they're in for good, generally speaking.

Sera can be dismissed at any time. And can be rejected when she first appears. And will leave if her Approval sinks. And is so finicky that multiple playstyles make it a challenge to keep her in the party, particularly if you're an elf. If you're a female elf who's dumb enough to romance her, you get an unbelievably ugly confrontation where she basically says you have to renounce your religious beliefs if you want to stay in a relationship with her ... after which I have to imagine the temptation to kick her bony ass to the curb must be nigh irresistible.

I don't know if anyone on the dev team hated her, but someone understood she wasn't gonna be very popular.

That was so bizarre to me. They wrote
Sera as she is, and then they were self aware enough to know people would dislike her to boot her at any point in the game.

Was there a conflict in the writer’s room or something?

Shadowheart, Lae'zel, and Karlach, while they're a woke selection I can definitely say I'd pipe all three.

I would never touch any of these freaks. We are a long way from virgin swamp goth waifu.

Probably play testers kept commenting that they hated her but rather than do the based thing and let us cut off her head the writers only let us kick her out of the Inquisition.

Like I always said. Creators have the full right to crunch in as much of their rad-left gay fag ideology that they want.
But in the spirit of fairness they must also allow Players to be massive racist bigots as well.

Of course they won’t do that, in modern BioWare games. But given this game is set in Tevinter, imagine an actual Tevinter supremacist pc. Violently hates the Qunari and sees Solas’ plot as confirming every fear and stereotype about elves.

But yeah, Sera is such an unpleasant character-so much so even the uwu Dalish are like POC oppressed and what not fans hate her.

Unironically I’ve grown to like Vivienne more. (Besides being a negress), she makes informed arguments about the necessity of the circle, she’s ambitious and also understands what social climbing requires, the amount of work and networking and reputation building while giving a reasoned perspective that isn’t Tumblr mages are basically lgbt people.

Magic is dangerous and the common people are right to fear it. Anders was an insane retard who started a conflict mages can’t possibly win.

It’s bizarre BioWare made the actual black woman character so adroit and reasonable. To the point beyond the obvious woke ism of having a snooty magic noblewoman being black, she comes off as the most reasonable (and dare I say realistic) person in Inquisition.
