This is just like Mem from the eBeggars thread. Let's say that Pissa does somehow get her down payments made... Then what? You still need to pay off the damn things. Does she imagine she will be able to make all this money from fans right off the bat? I'm sure TikTok will continue to deliver! More delusion I suppose.
Hold up, Piss... where's the Jimmy Dean Bowls and Mellow Yellows in that budget? Tsk, tsk.
I like the part where she's already"invested" $320 of her own money and now it's up to TikTok to do the rest.
$30 for a hand painted fan that looks like a greasy, fat tard painted it? I'll take a hunnerd of 'em!
Imagine thinking this is a solid, viable plan that will lead to success. Her idiocy is astonishing.
She's several minutes into begging tiktok for 10,000 dollars before she remembers that in theory she could make money by selling fans. She's incredible. Her plan is about as practical as an 8 year old kid trying to convince her parents to buy her a pony and offering the contents of her piggybank as evidence she's also worked and saved up for her goals.
Wait-that’s how much she was in debt? Seriously? She ruined her credit with a bankruptcy, for fifteen hundred dollars?
I don’t-I cannot wrap my head around why this is. I mean, even a part time grocery store job would help pay that down in a few months. I know 1500 is a lot for many people, but seriously?
Joh could have helped pay that down with his tard dishwasher job. The absolute bewildering state of these two grown adults

It's not nearly as retarded as that deathfat and her creepy husband who skipped town when they were a whopping three grand from owning their house outright.

Hey, that 8 year old will probably do better with her dream pony than Polissa did with her cats! I’ll bet they’ll beat all the snobby girls with their fancy ponies at the big show, even if the closest they get it just plinking around in the pasture, hopping over ditches.

They must have maxed out a low limit credit card and maybe store credit somewhere. I can’t wrap my head around bankruptcy, either. She should attempt to negotiate a settlement with her creditors and beg for money for that, before she plans anything else. Its a lot easier to be broke with good credit than broke with bad credit.
Yes, Piss, this life would also be hard for me if I thought that selling ticky tacky Hobby Lobby crafts on a beach would render me well-fed and housed. God damn

Yeah I’m sure it’s the lawyer/filing fees. Each state has its own process and laws but I know that $2000-$2500 is normal for a lot of states so it makes sense Alabama would be lower.
Long time lurker, but just because Pissa can fuck off I donated $320 to a local cat rescue in her name. The cats are the ones who need the 10k not her fat useless ass!
Sorry MATI.
Her plan is to sit on the pier and sell fans in the FL sun. But she is sensitive to heat!! Oh yeah, and she is too “‘disabled” to work. Funny how selling art is the same exact thing as any other retail job.
Here's the other thing: she's going to have to sell a lot of fans to make any sort of a living at it. I mean, a lot of fucking fans.
We've seen two that she's painted so far, and now she painting a third? Oh, Polissa, honey—you'd better get cracking and figure out some shortcuts, because you can't make a living selling fans if you aren't busting them out at a rapid pace. And nobody's going to stop by an empty booth.
She has absolutely no idea what it will take to make a go of this (to be fair, hardly anybody who decides that selling their work at craft fairs would be fun does; I sure as hell didn't, back when I tried it). But it's a lot harder, and a lot more work, than Polissa can even begin to imagine.
If she honestly thinks she's physically capable of sitting on a pier all day, in the Florida heat, selling fans to tourists, then she really needs to think about getting another call-center gig, which will give her better pay, and in a more hospitable climate-controlled environment, for a lot less work.
I don't recall hearing about it before, what is her bankruptcy ? And how do you only have a bankruptcy of $1.5k? I guess being broke would help. Its mad to me that someone on disability could get into enough debt for bankruptcy to be an option.
It's not that she and Josh have only $1500 in debt—I'm certain they has a lot more than that. I think she meant that it would cost them $1500 to file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
(She may not be including Josh in her plans, but they're a married couple, so some of that old debt may be jointly held. It's hot today, and I am unmotivated to dig too deep into anything; if it isn't in my head, fuck it. Anybody who wants to pick up my slack? I love you, you beautiful autist.)
Most of that debt is likely accrued interest. Also, I would not be surprised if she had at least one outstanding legal judgment against her from a debt collector; until you pay those, they stay on your credit report permanently.
I'm sure she racked up a stupid amount of consumer debt back when she was still working; she was renting a house, had completely furnished it, and had some trashy relative or other who stayed with her and Josh and somehow ended up costing them a lot of money (it's all buried back in the thread).
When she first got sick and could no longer work, their finances went into an immediate freefall; they had no savings, and no real assets they could sell, so I am certain they maxed out every single credit card they had, and then quit any pretense of making payments. They also had at least one car, which was likely repossessed. If they had rent-to-own furniture, that would have been repossessed, too.
There's probably still old medical debt, as well; it took her a while to get on Medicaid. I don't know what exactly was wrong with Polissa (and wouldn't trust her account of it), but it must have been something legit at the time because I can't imagine throwing one's entire life down the toilet like that just to get out of working. Though who knows—maybe she was struggling with her debt load and thought she could somehow get it all forgiven, or that others would come to her rescue, if she was sick enough; she's definitely that stupid.
At any rate, I wouldn't be at all surprised to find out they have a huge amount of debt and judgments still outstanding. Nothing in either of their credit reports would shock me.
...I didn't realise totally broke people could get enough credit for it to be an option. How can she get credit for a truck (she mentioned a down payment) while going through or just after bankruptcy proceedings?
There are shifty used car dealers who specialize in selling vehicles, on credit, to people like Polissa. They're inevitably older vehicles, and sold at high interest rates.
I was in a laundromat a while back, and eavesdropped on a woman who was telling her friend she had just bought a 2004 VW Jetta for $3600, with six years to pay it off. Her payment was about $145/month, which she thought was a great deal. I ran it through an auto loan calculator while sitting there watching my clothes spin around, and to my horror she was paying an interest rate of roughly 21.5%, and would end up paying over $10,000 for the car over the life of the loan.
She was thrilled with her "new baby," because she had no down payment, and had been absolutely certain she couldn't afford a car (it took all my self-control not to blurt out, "You still can't afford a car! That's insane!").
But that's the deep sub-prime market for you. It's predatory as fuck, and most of the people who end up relying on loans like this are financial illiterates. I remember one such guy, a former co-worker, who legit thought that because his aging used Mustang had been stolen, he no longer had to make payments on it, and I was just a dumb girl who didn't know anything when I tried to tell him otherwise.
People, man. I don't know how some of them don't just up and die from stupid.
I have always believed that if you are a good person, and you do good, you think good thoughts, you take care of the nature around you, you don’t destroy the Earth, you don’t destroy people, that you yourself would be taken care of! Somehow, miraculously, you would be okay!
She does nothing for anybody else without expecting immediate gains for herself. She fails to take care of the animals who depend upon her, using them as props to show off what a "good person" she is, while they suffer and die.
That's part of the problem, Pissa. You aren't doing the "good things" out of out altruism or any sense of internal gratification.
A normal person saves a street cat, that feels good, you like seeing the happy kitty. You don't expect the kitty to pay you back or other people to reward you for saving the cat.
And yet I am painting hand fans, and just the dreams and hope that one day, I can sell those and someone can enjoy them on the beach at Pier 60! Because that is the only dream I can hold on to right now! I don’t know where I am gonna live! I don’t know where I’m gonna sleep! But all I know is that is the dream! Is to sell my hand fans on Pier 60 in Clearwater Beach, Florida!
It is such a simple dream!
And no one’s advice is going to work in this situation! So don’t even give advice! I don’t want it, I don’t care! Your advice will be null and void! Because I guarantee you will not have a full grasp of my entire situation! Thank you for trying!
I just needed someone to hear me tonight! Someone, because truth is, I am really, really alone!
If she were a sane and reasonable person instead of a cat-killing pathetic sack of lard, at this point, could she eventually live decently in Alabama?
Let's say she does the basics: ditches Joh, moves back in with mom, gets a job (maybe data entry, something she can do from home with equipment provided by the employer). Say she keeps that up for at least a couple of years. Would that be enough for her to eventually fix her credit score? rent a small place of her own? a car?
I know she'll never do any of this, of course, but I like to think there's hope for every situation
I wonder if Polissa knows that Scientology has a massive presence in Clearwater. It's home to their international headquarters. Hell, maybe she's banking on them taking her in and housing her for the rest of her life in some compound as long as she does the laundry or something.
I've navigated Social Security a lot over the years and it's frustrating and a lot of work. How do tards like Pissa get checks on their own when they are dumb and lazy? Or do they get a wrangler to do all the work?

Doesn't the patient need to collect documents and stuff, though? Or is it all front-loaded where once you do the application successfully you're in for life? Is that the "hard work" she was alluding to?
