So the colonies are picking a new govenor general or whatever they call them to replace the kenyan fellow they had last time.

The choice this year is between a ginger tax dodging democrat oaf and a reptoid dynastic politician up to her neck in lies and corruption. As ever the contest between red and blue has been riveting, with much grabbing of pussies and hiding of emails.

We have a thread charting the campaigns but the big day deserves its own thread.

Yeah, the DNC really screwed themselves over. :( Sympathies!

I'm on the right, but Bernie was soooo much more likeable to me than Hillary! He seemed like he really believed in his convictions and wasn't just in it for the money. I'm not sure about how well his economic strategy would have worked, but he seemed like a really nice and genuine sort of man. I respected him.

Doc Thompson put it perfectly: Trump is the lottery ticket, Hillary is taking the money you'd buy the ticket with and simply burning it. The fact is, we don't really know what the fuck Trump will do because his campaign was an erratic disaster and he doesn't really have a core set of values. But we do know that if Clinton won, it would be largely predictable: Obama part 3.

And we all know that in an America run by liberal economics, you have two countries. America #1, the rich and upper middle class. And America #2, the working class fast rotting away. I see the difference every time I return to Pennsylvania to visit family. I've been fortunate enough to make it into America #1. We should all be in America #1.

This is now Trump's America. I don't know what that means beyond knowing who is gonna get the shaft and who isn't. It all depends on whether or not he can deliver anything he's promised. I don't believe he can, but hell, I've been wrong about this man along every step along this yellow brick road. Maybe he can do it after all.
