Yeah, this was more a process of elimination thing, there don't seem to be many high profile cases coming out of Australia that match that criteria. It could match if she's really, really in denial (possible, given what we're dealing with).

Though there doesn't seem to be too much true crime chatter about it, and New South Wales' age of consent is 16 not 17. So I'd say from further investigation it's possible, just not probable. Maybe some aussie kiwis have some better leads.

My “friend” started calling me the t slur semi recently as a joke. The first time he apparently didn’t know that it was a slur and so I sort of let him off with it. But he hasn’t stopped calling me it. I’ve tried explaining that I don’t like being called it and it isn’t a joke to call a trans person that word but he doesn’t give a shit. Also made a joke about a trans holocaust once. This is weird because one of my other “friends” is also trans and while they agree that it’s a slur and really serious, they stopped trying to help him realise it’s not a good thing to say. Either they gave up or think it’s funny. Now this person is pretty good with my name and pronouns otherwise and isn’t openly (seriously) transphobic but I hate the fact they’re using slurs against me

Looking up other slurs and using them too!

So I made a post here (which got upvoted to hell and back thx) about my “friend” calling me the t slur. I have an update from today: he still uses it and it’s even worse now. Today they looked up a list of homophobic and transphobic slurs and started calling me each one they could. They told me openly that they are homophobic and they were kicked out of the lgbt support group my friendgroup are in because he was homophobic. They told me “I like degrading people who are different than me” and for the rest of the day called me slurs. Genuinely, what the actual fuck is happening. Wtf am I supposed to respond with

Sounds fishy, made up. "I like degrading people who are different than me" is not something any human actually says. It sounds like Ellen Page's fanciful account of a made-up fictional attacker who never existed, " I am going to gay-bash you now, you homosexual!". Didn't happen, people don't speak that way.

I am a breast cancer survivor. My ovaries were removed because I also had such a high risk of cancer there. So I am a twofer.

When I was going through treatment it seemed every second ad had tits on display (the other ads seemed to be for life insurance). The reminders of my mutilation, ugliness and possible death were a bit grim, but I got over it, as I did the actual pain. Fuck this guy for daring to use my suffering and that of other breast cancer patients as his emotional support stuffie. He’s decided to treat his mental illness by voluntarily going through a fraction of the shit I and other women had no option but to suffer, and then tries to pretend our problems are the same. Fuck him.

Thank fuck I have not suffered FGM but jesus that’s 100 times worse. To be a child betrayed by the people you think love you, and mutilated with a bit of a broken Coca Cola bottle is a whole new level of horror.
