I truly do not understand what the benefit of all of these interventions is supposed to be.

The benefit is immediate: they're accepted by a group, having purpose in life and within the group by starting their gender journey, their problems are outside and not inner struggles they have to work on aside from transphobia, they're special, and they're getting a few characteristics of the sex they like on themselves if they're autowhateverphiles. The being accepted by a group and having a newfound spiritual understanding of yourself (even if it is stupid or wrong as outsiders would point out) is so powerful it keeps people in the cult until the very cult rejects them. The magical thinking is the benefit and all they'll link you is some less than stellar studies and personal testimonials. The drug of Roleplaying you're someone else and running away from your problems or trying to force others to react to you how YOU want them to is the benefit. I don't know why I'm answering yoy since I know it's rhetorical, but I feel like sperging so pardon my spergout.

Been using Linux since 2016. It's just an operating system but recently like other stereotypically 'nerdy' hobbies, it's been overran by troons. You'll see tons of jokes about linux users being femboys or troons on reddit a lot. That stereotype has become so commonplace unfortunately that the troon pink and white socks are jokingly called programming socks.

That being said, archlinux users are all fags and trannies and you should use opensuse instead.

To add to what @Gulo Gulo said, it's not "just" an operating system. It's an operating system that in the Western world you're very unlikely to get handed to you; if you buy a computer, it typically has Windows, or MacOS, or worst case Chrome. You have to consciously choose to install and use Linux: this makes Linux a geeky hobby. And every geeky hobby that does not involve going outside is infested with troons.
