Anybody who thinks Cobes is capable of having a job or should have a job needs to put themselves in the shoes of an employer and ask themselves would they hire Josh? Would they, if given a list of potential candidates, choose Josh over anybody else?

The only job I could realistically see cobes doing now is collecting shopping trollies, or sweeping cigarette butts. Even those are a long shot because I can easily see him banging into people's cars or yelling at his phone in public. I do believe that if he was taught some basic skills and even a little work ethic instead of being sent out of the home 2 years after being diagnosed an actual retard to hang out with dumpster bums and get blasted unsupervised he would have been a functioning retard like you see at your local shop.

I’m fully okay with him e-begging for extra cash because hiring him for an actual job would be a liability. He needs to be more functional than he currently is, and that’s not happening anytime soon.

His ODD regarding orders from clint seems to have subsided immensely in the 2nd apartment compared to what it used to be. The boy can smoke inside now he's probably just happy as a clam to be able to do it.

How does an entire disorder that he's had since a child just disappear? Even if Clint told him that this was his last chance, and fucking up this trailer would mean living in a halfway house, still doesn't make sense. He's been like this since before he was on youtube, so this is ingrained in his mind. I know he's always been dead set against living in a halfway house, but you'd think even that realization still wouldn't stop him. Still does everything else. Genuinely confused.

Has this shit ever been confirmed? I see it so often just appear one day even Clint says it in the clinterview but it feels like such a cop out excuse... Shock horror the retard doesn't want to listen to others and do what he's told? That can also account to about 95% of the human race

Also I think Cobes may have mellowed after the years. He did let Clint teach him how to use the lathe. I still think Clint expects him to not listen but at least, at best, most of the smoke will be contained in one room.

eta. I think it's time for a Cobra subforum. I think it would be great if we could have a thread for drink combos and food hacks, and other Cobra related lore so we can start building it up and also have an important happenings bit for those who don't read this thread every day. There's always a lot to catch up on if you go away for a few days. There's plenty of motivated Cobra fans here, if we got enough of the drink combos and food hacks in one spot, we could get a Cobra Cookbook published and give the profits to Cobes. The trolls would hate that.

I still maintain Clint has done the biggest disservice to cobes out of anyone in the cobraverse. Clint has made cobes' autism the center of cobes' entire identity. It's a perma-crutch. But once again clint labeled him with ODD, wether its real or not, and its yet another crutch for cobra.

I have an autistic cousin who is more sheltered than cobes but now at 34, he's a neet. Oddly enough, his parents made his autism/aspergers his entire life. My cousin, like cobes, ALMOST escaped it in his 20s when he had a job and a bit of a social life. But then his family moved and took him with them. My cousin got into a car accident and he relapsed and is now a 34 year old shut in neet. Honestly hes just like cobes except that hes straightedge.

On the flipside, my college roommate was pretty autistic. Probably... 70-75% of cobes' potency. He had plenty of weird delusions like cobra (anime powers instead of chi balls, opening naruto gates, ect) but he wound up graduating college, got a job in IT, worked in it for 10 years, then went ahead and got a job in a hospital IT dept, and is making well over 60k a year. Everyone knew he was an odd duck but we rolled with it and he's a fairly normal, weird, anime nerd in his later 30s.

You CAN make something of your life if you dont lean on crutches all the time and cope.

Absolutely. I'm 50/50 on him him having it. For the longest time people would get him to stream just by texting him texting him and telling him not to stream lol.

No. But he needs a proper wiki. For years they had tried making entire CWCki-like encyclopedias for every boring gigasperg on the planet, yet Cobes -who has enough weird adventures and side characters to actually warrant one- has never gotten a proper one. "The Cobrapedia" was up for a bit, but the guy who ran it wanted it dead instead of handed off. Even then, it was never a particularly in depth database.
