So if I understand the cope is, the kids should have stepped up and taken care of the house while their parents did coke? What the fuck do Mr/Mrs Rackets have to do during the day? From the sounds of it the kids actually have busier days than their cokehead parents - scheduling coke and balldo sessions aside.

If the kids were hungry, that was a lack of creativity on their part - aren't they learning from their father that all your calories can come from liquor? It's not Nicks fault that his children are regarded. But really, it sounds like the kids stepped up by reporting their living conditions to the responsible adults in their lives.

Furthermore. On the 'government conspiracy angle', I'll be honest, I could buy in that the small, insular community they live in and are a part of IS doing a sort of community justice, going by past streams of Nick SEETHING about prudes, you can infer he was reached out to by members of his community and rather than take their concern at face value he doubled down and disparaged them as 'not understanding'..

I could continue forever, none of it matters. The copes of a paranoid cokehead are inherently nonsensical; 25g of coke were in this house we can roughly infer the rest of the narrative from there. Are you guys for real arguing that 12-16 year olds can't do their own laundry and make their own food? Nick is a piece of shit and so is his wife and the kids did not deserve any of this, but jesus christ guys kids aren't helpless. Where did you guys grow up and how was your upbringing so sheltered if you didn't do laundry or cook food? Literally everything has instructions on it AND everyone has the internet, for one thing, and that's a step up from when even I was growing up in the late 80s/90s. My 11 year old daughter makes her lunch for school every day and does her own laundry among other chores. YES, Nick hasnt been a disaster for that long and YES a 16 year old cannot go from 0-100 in a couple of months, but are we really sitting here saying a 16 year old can't figure out how to do laundry if they need to? Come on guys. Even if they didn't have laundry detergent, you can throw them in there anyway and just do the wash with water only.

Don't mistake this for taking Nick/Kaylas side at all. And I do not think kids should be totally taking care of themselves or unsupervised all the time. But to act like a fucking 16 year old is incapable of figuring out how to do laundry or make some food is ridiculous. Maybe I am way off base here but I hope I'm not, because if teenagers can't even figure out how to eat for themselves then I guess society is just done for. I am absolutely convinced that even for these upper middle class and sheltered kids, it's far less that they "can't" do this or that and far more that they "choose not to" do this or that. Again, shitty situation, and I HATE that these kids went through this, my only point here is that they could do things for themselves. They shouldn't have had to, but they could.

I really don't wanna sound like I am defending Nick OR belittling the situation these kids were in...I am just baffled at the lack of agency you guys seem to be saying teenagers have.
