The Hunter thing is slightly different because of Biden's repeated vows to crack heh down on guns while softballing the case against his own son. From what I remember of the scattershot of videos I've watched my read was it's the corruption of the Biden administration that the lawtubers were attacking, rather than Hunter himself so their current stance re: the guns doesn't raise any inconsistency flags for me. Admittedly, it's been a long time since I watched any commentary on Hunter I could be wrong there.

I don't think either Hunter or Nick should be facing the gun charges they were presented with, mind you, but that's a personal issue with the respective laws and not the fact that both knowingly broke them.

Nick is a severe narcissist though, and I suspect he would get bored of anyone. I wonder if she had tried to leave, what he would have done. It seems like his family has influence in that community. I assume they would've destroyed her. Families like the Rekietas will side with their son no matter how much of a disappointment they become because the alternative is accepting that he's a poor reflection on all of them. As much as Kayla is definitely fucked in the head, I stand by the belief that I don't think an epic divorce rape would've panned out in her favor at all.

Nick doesn't even like or want the kids but probably would have kept them away from her out of spite if he could manage it.
