My brother in Christ, we all love to shit on Balldoman here, but I agree with what many users have said here: the thread moves way too fucking fast. To the point where archivers like @elb have given up on the thread a couple of days ago and ask people to DM her clips instead.
It's become unfeasible to discuss multiple happenings, such as the arrest, or a reaction to a stream of some walking tub of mayonnaise in the Lawtube sphere noseguarding over Nick's arrest, or comments on a Kino Casino episode all at once in the same thread.

I don't necessarily think there needs to be a Balldoverse subforum like the Sektur subforum, but should moderators be activated to put the thread in order and break it up into multiple subthreads in the Grift Wars subforum?


Take for example threads that could have been created, to benefit the flow of this thread so it doesn't get turned into a live chat:

That said, there's nothing stopping anyone from making a splinter thread in Prospering Grounds to try and split up discussion, keeping this one for Nick and the noseguards and making a new thread to contain the Balldo Cinematic Haterverse doesn't sound like a bad idea.

He streamed from the kitchen before, which was appalling. I remember being grossed out and in disbelief that ostensibly functional people who have the means to hire help, even if no personal pride, a) would have a kitchen in that condition, and b) that he would stream it for people to see.

Different people have different tolerances and natural inclinations, I get that. I'm a congenitally messy person and the queen of 80%-completed projects left out and unfinished, but that drives me nuts so I create (possibly near-autistic-level, but I prefer to think of it as Martha Stewart-esque) systems so things have a place and I have a >50% chance of remembering where stuff is.

But that kitchen just screamed addiction and/or depression. And definitely not like the home of any well-functioning middle-to-upper-class 1/2/3/4/5/6/8-child family I have ever known, which vary from messy to pristine, but not filthy unless something was going on with the parent/s.

Those were functioning families. I have also seen the homes of overwhelmed parents where there was depression/ addiction/ other serious dysfunction going on. And Aaron's description of clothes everywhere - dirty piled down the hall, clean scattered in public areas - plus dirty dishes everywhere, and the dining room table unusable for being covered with kids' stuff, house stuff, papers, etc., rang true. It's very stressful for children to live like that. And it also has the by-product of generating strife for and fights among adults, because things - often important things - get misplaced or buried or lost and can't be found when it's critical to find them. Glad to see they prioritized a literal safe space for the most important things to them (coke and K). God knows you'd hate not to be able to find that.

But I did get stuck with a massive emergency room bill that I could not pay that stayed on my credit report for years, not to mention the humiliation of being treated like I waltzed in of my own free will for the sole purpose of wasting everybody's time, so I learned not to ever share such things again (or call a hotline, which, surprise! Can have the same results). Cute, huh?

Not that it helps since this apparently occurred some time ago, but for others or in general: beginning in 2022, there were some new protections put in place for (among other things) unexpected medical emergency bills (the No Surprises Act), in terms of what you are billed (accurate GFE if uninsured; mitigation of out of network rates if you are). And in addition, beginning April 2023, medical collections under $500 are no longer reported on credit reports.
