Legal mindset, Uncivil Law, and others are flailing. Barnes (who has served as @Null ’s lawyer) is trying to make this a second amendment case rather than realizing Nick curated his persona to sell to people.

Your guess is as good as mine as to whether he is telling the truth. I am inclined to believe him, it would be a weird thing to lie about because it would give him no benefit at all.
Given by what I saw in family court, I am also not surprised that the ex-wife would be "okay" with it. At least not in the sense of letting continue seeing the children, now that he is out of there. Contrary to popular belief in most cases the mother does want to allow her children to continue seeing the father.

It's unfortunate but questionable parenting is more the rule than the exception. That's life I guess, people are generally somewhat messed up.

What the fuck Andrew. They are all codefendants in the same charge. Of course the jail isn't going to let them talk to each other. The jail had no idea Nick was their attorney until he talked to the judge at the arraignment.
 
I find it strange that this entire discussion is based on the premise that the mandatory report was the only reason for the search warrant. Yeah, if the mandatory report was the singular reason then that's fair, but why are they feverishly arguing under the assumption that there's nothing backing the warrant and that this is just a political hitjob against someone the local courts dislike?
