I can't really think of the last time the destruction of an e-celeb was this televised and this talked about. 10's of thousands of comments, hundreds of hours of streams and videos and responses in less the. A week. Merch and huge revelations and tons of money changing hands. The super chats alone to make fun of and talk about and support nick could probably power a small third world country for a couple days.

I think there needs to be a new term for this sort of feeding frenzy. It feels like a whale fall. A new ecosystem all focused on the corpse of a larger entity feeding a complex web of mouths for a long time.

I'm not really invested considering I haven't watched Jim since before the pandemic, lost interest in the things he talks about long ago, but it's sad to see any supposedly rational people not seeing through Nick at this point. I'm actually surprised too that he seems to think he has a solid idea of the kind of person Nick is considering they are internet friends. I've heard many people hold Jim up as the only sektur-adjacent personality that didn't form parasocial connections to the other streamers around him there but nobody is immune to it I guess.
