I think a large part of his screen persona was designed around stroking the egos of more senior lawyers and appealing to older people. He was a small town awe schucks lawyer when it suited him and it took a while for him to allow swearing on his streams after appealing to the anime crowd.

Sean said something akin to “Nick is someone you could easily rob”, but I think that was part of the persona. He’s always ready to help and giving, unless he’s busy with his kids (can’t blame him for that, riiiight). I think that was just a way to network or have experts for panels (when he did panel shows).

Once you stepped on his ego he’d get spiteful and passive aggressive. He wanted you to burn a bridge to point at something to cast blame. He wanted Null to express his distaste and likely he could cry about that. He had tried to posture on Null for fundraising for the legal fund when he barely managed to get a fifth of his goal for his own lawsuit. He was extremely petty because he thought he had leverage in his AIDS/ substance abused brain.

This is very important because we have people even over here with a mentality I can only describe as "is Rackets getting better?"

It's only human to want to extend goodwill to this asshole and think he can't really be THAT bad, but he is. He really, really doesn't deserve any charity. Keep him in your thoughts and prayers if you must, but it's 99.9% likely that this man will finish his life the way he started it - as a total narcissistic wigger.

It's not even just about a failed NPL, it's about identifying people like him in your personal life and cutting them off rather than giving them so much goodwill.

There are two options:
1. Half or all of the shit Rekieta said about John was exaggerated, distorted, or just flat out invented. In which case, he's still scum for thinking acting that way is justified or makes him look cool.

2. It was all or mostly true, John is a loser. So what? The world is overflowing with losers living with their parents living off of benefits. There aren't a lot of people handed a trust fund worth hundreds of thousands of dollars their whole life, land the sweetest cushy lucrative streamer career possible, have a wife, 5 kids, and get a big house, only to piss it all away and fail in every way that matters until at the end they're a literal drug addict that's endangering and neglecting their own children. Even if John was a garden variety loser, he's still a million times better than Rekieta.
 
The big problem with mixing cocaine and liquor is the stimulant effect counteracts the sedative effect of the liquor so you can be blackout drunk and still up and moving. Normally if you got shitfaced enough you just pass out. When you are mixing it with a stimulant you don't pass out so you are way more likely to do something really fucking dumb.
