like, we really are drinking that very same water that was pissed, vomited, pooped on. i recall reading some people mentioning stuff such as pee from hospitals and that the water we drink is simply above the "not that dirty teehee" line.

Yes, modern municipal water treatment plants often take effluence directly from wastewater (poop water) treatment plants. The water that comes out of wastewater--assuming you dont live in detroit or most of California--is technically potable but not rated as such.

It's safe enough for animals like ducks + cranes + geese + fish to live in.

Us well Chads keep winning. The water I drink is filtered by a couple hundred feet of clay and sand and instead of birth control left overs pissed out by roasties my water has natural minerals. Imagine living in a city where your water is literally filtered nigger piss and shit and treated with fluoride. Fuck, I'm going to go drink a nice tall glass of ice cold well water right now.
 
Only indirectly like the vast majority of the Earth's water. Some comes from the crust or volcanoes as well as from space so you might get some virgin water once in a while.

Reclaimed water is extremely uncommon unless you're in an area with limited water or droughts it's not really worth the money. New York City has some of the best tap water in the country, in fact it doesn't even need to be treated besides disinfection.

The fertilizer called Milorganite is made out of sewage sludge from the Milwaukee area.
 
So as far as I’m aware this is more of a Chinese concept rather than a European one. In China they will refill empty water bottles, not unlike a regular plastic water bottles you get at the gas station. The refill them with super polluted water and relabel them before selling them back to the people. It’s a CCP funded program and they will claim it’s crystal clear mountain spring water or some shit despite it being visibly filthy in the bottle.

Don't a lot of American "spring water" outfits do similar shit? They claim it's spring water but list about two dozen potential sources, including municipal water supplies.

If by recycled you mean processed by your local city water treatment plant;
it might not bother me so much if they didn't make 85 percent of it taste like shit
like holy fuck these cities are all "lets just mix chlorine into it rather than rethink our water supply sourcing"

When the infrastructurers there it's kinda hard to justify "let's spend millions to make this utility nicer!" especially when they won't even buy a bag of QP to patch the fucking pot holes.

I believe so. However, not only are those private companies for which the solution would be simply not to buy their product, but the water sources available to them are far cleaner than anything you can find in China regardless of alleged authenticity.

In China’s case it is matter being unable to buy unpolluted water period. The brands that are available are all directly controlled by the CCP for propaganda purposes and as such there are no actual safeguards for health and safety resulting in videos taken by Chinese citizens of CCP employees refilling these bottles with an old rusty hose. You have to keep in mind that it’s an entire country with Flint Michigan levels severe water contamination. This issue is worsened by the fact that, like most deadly issues in China, the CCP’s official stance on the matter is that it isn’t happening and if you say it is you’re an unpatriotic criminal. It’s one of the many problems contributing to China’s disproportionately overwhelming death toll.

If you’re in basically any other country your water quality is practically guaranteed to at least eighty percent better with perhaps only few exceptions for other third world dictatorships, and honestly saying as much would be a stretch.
 
I get my water from the water store. The only adultrants in my blessed H20 are the BPA free microplastics sheering off into my bloodstream.

If you do the math you will understand that literally every milliliter of water that exists on planet Earth has been pissed out 20 to 40 times over the past 2 billion years. There is no water in the world that has not been piss 20 times over.
