Tranny is about to become the center of attention by coming out to his family. His sister calls to talk about her life problems - which upsets him, because for one brief moment he's not the center of attention. I know trannies are narcissists but his sister was supportive of him, and still he's pissed that it's not all about him for a few minutes.

My Coming Out Disaster TRIGGER WARNING (self.TransLater)

submitted 8 hours ago * by HopefulYam9526 to r/TransLater

I came out to my sister yesterday, and was hoping for a positive reaction, since we are pretty close, and I've always considered her my best friend. Her initial reaction was shock, but she quickly became supportive. I was planning to come out to my ex-wife today, because we have a rare opportunity to talk, and keeping it in is killing me. I need to tell my daughter soon, and her mother needs to know first, with enough time to process it. Tomorrow I was going to say something to a couple of co-workers I work closely with, but not so much that it gives away anything I'm not ready for.
So this morning, as I was preparing myself for the intense and difficult conversation ahead, my sister texted to re-affirm her support. Then she called me a few minutes later, and talked for two hours about how everyone in her life is having some kind of situation, and it's too much, and went on about her new boyfriend, and their relationship, and then talked about her complicated relationship with our Mother, and second-guessed my wanting to tell my daughter, as well as my ability to do so without it having a negative impact on her.
Is everyone going to make this about them? When do I get to live my life? I was having enough trouble facing so many difficult conversations in rapid succession, but now I feel like I can't tell anyone, and telling my sister was a mistake. She's only the third person I've told, and now I'm questioning whether transitioning is something I can handle. I feel sabotaged, hopeless, and alone.
I guess this is just what it's like to be trans, and you can't expect anything from people, but I'm really feeling like I can't trust anyone. My sister's reaction isn't exactly unexpected, but it hurts, and now I'm putting the brakes on everything.
If anyone has any advice or perspective to share, I could really use it right now. I feel like I have nowhere to turn.

At best wouldn't DSDs be a possible argument for sex being trinary - Males who produce small gametes, Females who produce large gametes, and true asexuals whose gonads are so messed up they can't ever produce anything? There's still no sex spectrum with people producing additional types of gametes. The existence of XX males and XY females is why most of the biologists I see who aren't insane have moved on to the gamete definition.
The best explanation I've seen DSDs I've seen is on The paradox institute's website. They have flow charts showing how the different chromosomes and the the genes on those chromosomes affect sexual development.
Sterility doesn't erase sex. When you spay and neuter your pets, you don't erase their sex because they already went down one of two developmental pathways in utero. Males who do not produce sperm or women who do not produce eggs will still have the systems meant for their production - even if they are not there or no longer work.
Caleb Lawrence has a RDS eruption again.

Didn't this guy basically make his entire career about hating his conservative family, to the point he made them feel miserable to be in his presence?

Well, buddy, once those demographics change and no one can fund your expensive hormones you're gonna be selling your 'goods' on the street corner to Juan and Estevez.

This pooner boxer, put it this way, women’s self defense is a thing.

It’s not boxing obviously, but a woman who is competent and practiced at elbows to the solar plexus, chops to the windpipe and the classic move of a swift kick to the groin stands a good chance of getting away from a larger stronger male out to rape her or snatch her purse.

Similar things with Wing Chun, judo, certain forms of karate, most martial arts focused on using the opponents strength against them.
A competent woman could certainly defeat most average Schulb males with a beer belly and less than great fitness. Especially if she got the first “punch” in.

A pooner who has been on T and is a well practiced boxer could certainly beat very terrible male boxers, especially when they have to fight within the rules of boxing.

I wonder how long it will take for this chick to suffer a shattered orbital bone, broken neck or a bleed to the brain?
Do not pretend to know what you are talking about and say wing chun is as effective as judo or even some karate. Wing Chun is fraudulent and doesnt even utilize the most basic of stances meant to keep you steady. The best things women can learn is locks or hitting soft targets, or getting a fucking gun.

The point is presumably to be so provocative and shocking that a newspaper like The Telegraph reports on this insane person harassing people and terrifying them with declarations of bring an unapologetic transbian. But people in these areas will have seen far weirder things than someone in a crappy wedding dress wandering around "dressed" while doing performance art (one time in Soho Square I saw a homeless woman rip up a banana tree to use as a weapon against another homeless woman).

The insistence on having this filmed and photographed, clearly planned in advance, completely defangs any transgressiveness from this "performance". It has the same energy as a Home Counties teenager in 2006 getting a train to London with a friend so they can take photos in Camden on their digital camera in "emo" clothes in order to post it on MySpace. Leigh Bowery this is not.
Between stag parties and the gay club scene in Soho, I don’t think I’d even notice these guys. It’s the safest place you could possibly do something like this. Now, if they tried it in Hackney or Stratford or Whitechapel, that would be more impressive.

Is that dude walking around in a freaking black/yellow gimp suit? What is wrong with people in the UK and these damn gimp suits
Have you never seen those before? As @AssignedEva said, it's a common faggot fetish, like skinheads or leather. Definitely not just in the UK. Yet more men exposing the general public to their fetishes.

It’s not enough for a separate category. If sex was trinity, there would be a third gamete and different variations on what can make a baby. The only combos that can naturally make babby are sperm plus egg so that’s all there is. Anyone who doesn’t make sperm or eggs is still ‘of the category that potentially can’ produce one or the other. Nobody can make both, nobody changes one to the other. The only out there kind of challenge would be someone with a genuine trisomy of Xy and XX cells or even cells from two different individuals, and even then they’d produce either no gametes at all or have only one functional tissue. That point you’re into some interesting discussions on what makes an individual, but sex is about reproduction, and there’s only two boxes people go in, male or female. Sex is mating type, and humans have two.

It’s a pup suit, which is its own flavour of horror. I’ve thought about the gimp suits, and my conclusion is that the British climate is probably one of the few that favours them. Rarely warm enough for hyperthermia, and waterproof. Cool and drizzle is ideal if you’re gimping it up.

Nigerian forum on the rainbow menace. I think it's an old story and inaccurate, but Naira gon' speak, we gon' listen.

It is not naturahl, and therefore deviahnt, and we donnot wahnt it...
I’ll bet you that twenty years ago the dad at Disney wouldn’t bat an eyelid if it was a bloke camping it up as the evil queen or a woman playing Peter Pan. That’s always been theatrical stuff. What’s changed is he now thinks it’s a Troon, and he knows that troons equal sexual depravity and child predation. It’s not the fact it’s a bloke, it’s the fact it’s a tranny, around his kids
You hit the nail on the head as far as how I feel as a parent.
It's not that its a man, its the fact that a man dressed as a woman now is likely to be a fucking Troon, and I don't trust or want a fucking AGP freak around kids.
Its different when its just a guy dressed up for a bit, then its no different to a man in a Minnie Mouse costume, but when you know the dude doing it has a fucking fetish for that shit, I don't want my daughters near some faggot who if you shone a black light on his Evil Queen costume, it would light up like a Cherenkov bloom over Chernobyl.

So after some very rigorous research on Wikipedia, I found that certain species of fungi do have sexual reproduction with more than 2 sexes.
The catch? They are isogamous, which means all gametes are of the same size, and in fact for that reason they're not actually called "sexes", but "mating types", with some species having thousands of them. For a fertilization, it's enough to have two gametes of different mating types. I guess it's about preventing self-fertilization and therefore inbreeding. Most isogamous organisms have exactly two mating types.
Another catch? There are no isogamous animals or plants, it's only fungi, algae, and some unicellular organisms. Plants and animals have two sexes, with two gametes of different sizes.
If human sex wasn't binary, then the entire reproduction of humans would look completely different, and it fact I doubt there would be any sexual dimorphism – all mating types would look the same, perhaps all individuals could get pregnant, and maybe when a couple would go to an infertility clinic, then after a quick test the doctor would say "it turns out your mating types are the same, I diagnose you with the gay."

I could see an argument for a trinity with only two gamete producing sexes if there was a third sterile incubator sex - sort of a natural surrogate pregnancy deal - since all three would be required for reproduction. Highly doubt it'd be a mammalian species though. Some insects could possibly go for that.

Even then the only insects I can think of that use a 3rd party to incubate the young are parasitic wasps and similar creatures, that lay fertilized eggs inside another living host.
Come to think of it, the Ball Spider/Face Hugger (I know they're called Face Huggers but they look like Spiders with balls) stage of the Xenomorph life cycle sounds like something that could fit this theoretical "third gender" as its only purpose is to transfer embryonic Xenos into a host to hatch into either Drones or Queens.
I'm not sure whether theres anything IRL nature that fits that description though, outside of the already mentioned isogamous lifeforms, which are all very primitive, early evolved lifeforms. Most forms of life since the late Pre Cambrian have been "binary" its just how life evolved here.
Sorry Troons, you're in a fight against nature itself.

It really is. Sometimes they'll trot out things like sneaky males to suggest that there are more than 2 "genders" in animals, but that's all just semantic arguing around the fact that for sexual reproduction, binary systems are the way to go. There's even an obvious selective pressure as to why, which is that sexual reproduction has the disadvantage of requiring two organisms to meet in some way (even if indirectly) for it to function. There's a reason deep ocean life like anglerfish will have weird fucked up mating systems where the male fuses to the female, and its because food is so scarce and the territory they cover so vast that the chances of a male meeting a female when she is ready to spawn are extremely low, so instead he stays with her until she is ready. This problem is less extreme in other environments, but the need to have two organisms make it to sexual maturity, meet and succesfully mate is a issue of chance, which would become exponentially more unlikely if the requirement was that 3 seperate sexes would have to meet to reproduce. This isn't even touching the fact that any theoretical third gender would also have to be contributing to the genes of the offspring in some way for it to have any chance of surviving as a system. Both sexes face selective pressure individually to ensure their genes dominate. Sexual reproduction seems to have an inherent advantage in recombinance and generating novel traits, but there are huge hurdles to its functioning that seem to constrain what evolves.

Even for the case of fungi mentioned above, with a lack of differentiantion in gamete size, the existence of multiple mating types seems, as stated, to be inbreeding protection, because the majority of a fungal "body" is just a web of microscopic hyphae growing on or through whatever the fungus is subsisting on. Fungi don't emit free-floating gametes like most other multicellular organisms, instead they have special cells on their hyphae that fuse their cytoplasm together (plasmogamy) when they meet. So a system evolved that prevented fungi from fusing with their own hyphae (by far the most likely encounter), while still allowing fusion with other more genetically distant members of the same species. The system is so variant from plants or animals because the life-cycle selected for a very different mating strategy.

Even on a cellular level the gamete fusion systems are set up to make it so that a pairing of two different genetic codes is the most likely outcome, because that is what is selected for. Troons like to treat all the different components of sexuality and sexual reproduction as though they exist as independent variables that coincidentally cluster together in humans, but the truth is that the underlying logic of the system guides it all, even for things like sexual orientation where pre-natal hormone exposure seem to influence outcomes. The fact that the system doesn't produce precise outcomes 100% of the time does not negate the logic of it, which we can easily observe.
