Some people have been commenting about Heath's ID dialogue changing, I checked and it sure did change. Everyone that had Pequod Heath before this canto can tell what's missing here. View attachment 5899090
I checked all the others and I didn't notice any change on their lines.
The dialogue changes should affect all mentions besides base Heathcliff and being mentioned during the story, one of the more noticable being N corp Heath, where previously his deathline was him saying Cathy, but now its just silent
Well, the last bosses broken me, first time I haven't based ID a canto in ages but fuck, there are jokes of "just don't lose a clash" and then there are fights where you actually can't lose a clash. And then there are clashes where you can't lose a clash AND can't roll tails.
I could go the rest of my life without reading "unclashable" and die happy.
Also, that background effect makes me think were about to hit a shift. PMs doing it again, I knew there was no way in hell we were gonna have 9 Canto 4s. Shit's about to get weird. Buckle up.
Don putting away her toys, time to find out which of the theories about autistic gremlin tipheret is correct.
Finally finished it. After the first boss everything really is a lot easier, though fights start taking so long you start getting worried you get fucked in some important coin flip and get nuked. Went with a burn team since it's easier to lay into an enemy, the +1 coins really add up, and it's easy to fuel a lot of good egos.
God damn the ending is strong, and it's really was worth the wait.
It just hit me that this is the simbol used in Hokma's floor and that above it says Hokma. I have no idea what it says on the top where the bough starts. I wonder if they'll adress this in the story since it's not the first time we have seen them, like with Gregor's base EGO.

I liked the new mechanic, it's the right level of tipping the RNG so you aren't absolutely fucked by one bad roll. Wonder if we'll get one for improving status effects.

I don't know how many of the people in this thread played or interacted with Lobotomy, but I think this is going to go in reverse order with spin-offs of the abilities the Sephirah had during their meltdowns. It does make me wonder what's going to happen for Binah and Gebura, since those two just started causing problems in the facility directly as boss fights, and Tiphereth didn't really do anything so I don't know what that would translate to either, but the others seem easy enough to translate.
Malkuth: All work done was randomized. You might pick instinct and actually do attachment, and so on.
Yesod: The game would progressively get lower and lower quality until things were very hard to visually decipher.
Hod: All employees lost more and more stats. This one was pretty infamous.
Netzach: Healing was mostly disabled.
Tiphereth: No more Qliphoth immunity. After day 46 this just didn't do anything because those immunities went away regardless.
Gebura: She loaded up on weapons and went around trying to kill people. Day would end when she was suppressed.
Chesed: Employees would get drastic weaknesses to random damage types.
Binah: Similar to Gebura, she would also roam around and kill people, but she also would actively try to jailbreak the abnormalities while being immune to them herself.
Hokma: No Qliphoth immunity, game speed couldn't be changed, and if you paused employees would be killed. The game speed would progressively speed up as the meltdown went on. Time powers.
I read a really cool (though probably an unintentional) theory that we never got a Farmwatch ID because it's Catherine in the world Heath is Umbrella guy.
Also apparently railway is down because the new Egos break it completely. I should finish it already, tried going with Poise team but I found hard the hard way Poise is still way too slow and extremely limiting with Ego variety. I think I'll try again with a burn team with 7 Faust so I can get a good amount of Ego and healing use.

I feel like I saw some image somewhere that confirmed this, and it works well as a backdoor answer. The real reason is that Dongrang the real person is extremely controversial in Korea and a lot of the country sees the guy as a heinous traitor, as he collaborated with Imperial Japan and Japan and Korea have a lot of issues, so farmwatch isn't getting an ID because that would indirectly be a Dongrang ID. Project Moon does seem to like canonizing their gameplay mechanics, so the in universe reason for the lack of one being that sunshower Heathcliff's Catherine was in Dongrang's spot would be a clever way to do it, and it also works for the whole star crossed lovers angle those two have. Can't get much more separated than becoming a terrorist attacking your woman's company.
Used Faust, Ryoshu, Ish, Rodion, Sinclair and Outis with Hong Lu and Mersault as backup and the rest for their support passives.
The hardest part was the second third that just dumps burn type enemies and you need to heal or else people start dying. I lost Ryoshu to the absolute bullshit of Ahab unclashable attacks, and continued with Hong Lu who was absolutely shit. Had to carefully save up ego resources for heals but it thankfully lasted through.
Burn teams are a lot of fun, lots of coins so you don't get fucked by bad rolls, easy ego resources (which were a problem when I tried to do a Poise run and it simply was ton of Pride and nothing else) and burn doesn't require that much luck and thinking too hard. Simply Unga Bunga clashes and use the very powerful ego moves for the scary attacks.
That fight and the later boss fights had me shuffling around my teams quite a bit. For that one I remember some parts of that fight your meant to ignore clashing and force staggering because of his buffs on clash and low speed. Luck was definitely an element to not get completely steamrolled in some of the fights this canto as well. Evade on Heathcliff is also very helpful for some of the nodes.
Olga Fishmael is particularly good for evade tanking some of the later fights. She didn't even need to hit the coinflips since her floor for the evade was often higher than the clashing skill.
Here's a clearer version of the image.
I haven't been saving much lunacy and I spent 5 10 pulls trying to get Maid Ryoshu (because I loved her design) before I had to stop myself. It's so over.
I didn't see walpurgisnacht on the timeline. Don't really know how it works considering Sinclair was like 10 years old when Ruina happened. Plus like I said before, Sinclair already has an already broken burn ID, though cucking Philip is pretty apt.
