I don't know why you guys are surprised. He's a sleazy asshole who hasn't learned anything over the past few years, and hasn't changed as a person. He has outright ACKNOWLEDGED how he's a snarky asshole and tries to give a genuine answer, and then less than a minute later proceeds to go right back to doing it. He's exhausting, he's unfunny, and I grew out of him years ago. I can barely even bother with his stuff at 2x speed. I have enough people in my life who refuse to improve, I don't need some D-Tier eCeleb who is desperate for money but won't say as much to be another one of those people in my life.

I miss being able to catch Joel live sometimes. I don't miss the state my life was in that I was routinely up at 2 am, but experiencing the madness as it happened with other people was fun.

What the fuck does allowing people to have Vinny's clean reaction audio "about the money" and Vinny literally has said he needs to cater to the algorithm as that's how he pays his editors.
Do you think him running YouTube is a single-person job that doesn't have a money sink as well? Hell, he's stated multiple times during stream how much even Red Vox is mostly a money sink and they barely break even.
The dude doesn't like bringing up issues on stream because he wants to handle shit on his own. So following the magical algorithm which fun fact isn't a machine but just what people WANT to see and watch isn't fuckin insane.
It's just catering to common demographics of YouTube while remaining to the same content he's always done.

Vinny's run in with his fail cancel autism document was a real chance for him to realize just how poisonous the troons can be, and do something about it. Much like lowtax did with schmorky. He was really close too, but nothing happened and he seems to have learned little.

Then after his ban from twitch he had a real chance to realize just how bad twitch can be, and do somethong about that. He could have tried streaming on one of the handful platforms that have sprung up. He didn't, he went to youtube and stayed firmly in his box.

I think what you see is what you'll always get at this point with him. Joel is more of a wildcard and does not lean into the troons or zoomer bait nearly as much.

Real odd he didn't start treating it like it was a job until after the accusations, and didn't start pulling the shit in the images I posted until a year AFTER, too. Are you paid to be this gullible? He went over a DECADE without doing the stuff you and me are talking about, but the moment someone points that out they need to "grow up"? You'd have to be blind or ignorant not to notice the shift, and I'm surprised so many people react negatively to someone pointing this out when not even 2 pages ago people in this thread were like "man Vinny sucks and is unfunny".

He's sleazy cause he uses fans as cumbait and then throws them to the side like trash, though the things I brought up certainly add to it because he's clearly changed into a lazier, more dishonest person. He's had to bring up people noticing the algorithm baiting TWICE now, and reiterate it's TOTALLY not about the money.
 
I'd probably enjoy Joel's content and humor, but I can't tolerate more than a few seconds of that stupid accent and the fact that he randomly appends a breathy "-uh" sound at the end of most sentences he speaks. It's so fucking grating.

I just watched a minute and a half video of him speaking, and he did it about 30 times.

I've noticed that too. Vinny won't state it outright, but going based off of what he has admitted to, he's playing the game of life getting that bread and several other implied factors for the shift:
  • Moving away from "Vinesauce" as a group, like many of the others have done
  • Has no other occupation other than streaming
  • Like Carnalien said: Keeping his side hobby afloat
  • He is a tend follower after all and has been for years (Remember Cardsauce with the Pokemon cards?)
  • Medical expences
  • Ridin' on Biden's economy (though that's a speculation I've read on 4chan)
  • Being partnered with Screenwave Media might also play a factor
  • Being Jerma's surrogate/Adopting his "early retirement" strategy, considering the overlap between their fanbases that watch them both and regurgitate the same memes/inside jokes
He's never talked about his viewer metrics until after hitting 1mil. on the 'Vinesauce' channel and then started bringing it up on occasion, particularly during the *FF16 (Link 1, Link 2, Link 3, Link 4) and Pikmin 4 streams (Link 1, Link 2, Link 3), even recently during FF7 Rebirth. Sometime before that, *he said Rebirth will pulp his viewer numbers since it'll be long.

I speculate part of that is also due to listening/talking to other e-celebs about their metrics off camera. Sometime after he came back from the allegations, he has admitted being additcted seeing his numbers go up during his streams. Also he seems to be a lot more active on Twitter now than before, when he dropped it 2 - 3ish years ago on top of often bemoaning about it.

I think because someone tried to cancel him hes played it really safe because hes scared of controversy ruining his career.
Everyone backed him up when it happened and said most of it was personal drama that should have stayed personal.

leipzig and frankfurt are decent enough places to visit and safe provided you manage to get through the central train stations, which is where most of the chaos tends to happen. munich's tourism is complete and utter boomer central, so i'm really not sure what mike expected to find there. i think a guy like him would have had a nice time in hamburg.
i have to give it to you in regards to berlin though. that place sucks
