Yes because it's not like there have been countless attempts by the US government to control the web because they despise the amount of freedom it gives to people. SOPA, PIPA, PATRIOT Act, the recent TikTok ban where they did the aforementioned trojan horse and can ban any site they wish, not just TikTok, surely this legislation isn't another step towards that because it's to "protect the children", so let's just trust them on this one.

There's articles about governments discovering fake Chinese egg being sold in India, China, and Malaysia, according to distinct sources from each of these countries. Maybe it's like a big multi-government/news agency psyop or some shit like you think, but it isn't just coming from a single source. I would like to find the Xinhua (the official state news agency of the PRC) article which Reuters cites, but I don't think it is on English Xinhua.

Update on the Kom dog situation: this all actually happened a year ago but apparently was mentioned again this year thus why I am reporting so late. From what I gathered Kom truly did not want to discard a CP looking mod saying "CP is subjective" from his perspective thinking it's not CP, while the dude that called him out with the duck picture was a former mod of his server but felt the need to make a public tweeter post. There are allegations of Kom acting like a major creep but with no strong credible evidence to substantiate the claims, so if he is a creep he got away with it.

Today, both of these people are posting and reposting futa furry porn and seem entirely unbothered by the whole situation, the two don't associate with eachother. Kom has an audience whom he convinced to believe his part of the story and because of his relatively low profile nobody cared to look at his behavior.

tl;dr- Discord mod called out Kom, Kom was labeled as a pedo and had multiple allegations levied against him which he denies, technically in his state there is no law against CP so Kom got away with what he did with no legal consequence unfortunately. Upon the newest game update Kom is working on, people who remember the drama have resurrected it and are spreading his dox around.

I haven't seen side by side comparisons, but their suit isn't alleging vague similarity but straight up ripoffs.

You don't even need to get lawmakers to enforce this stuff. There is an initiative to label sites for adults yourself. RTA - Restricted to Adults should be more popular and any site that is primarily for adult content should support this and help give parents more control.
