there's any number of reasons, most likely which is she's just trying to get across to fatfuck how over it was, we have evidence that she let him inseminate (maybe?) her a few months before. I could see her finally snapping after weeks of "we can be back to the good old dayz" whining from fats.
it's also possible that she's not the smartest woman in the world, even if in fats circle she's at least five standard deviations away.

It is an allegory, stupid. As in man has fallen and become a a tool for it's own creations, the machines. The "man as batteries " is not supposed to be taken at face value/literally. The whole thing is essentially trying to convey to the audience that the roles have been reversed and that now machines use man as disposable tools, it is saying that technology has completely taken over and dominated human life completely. The movie is not subtle at all about this shit and it beats you over the head with it, which is actually it's biggest problem, how the fuck you miss this?
Also Fight Club is another movie with an obvious message, although a more interesting and better done one, that gets misinterpreted a lot. It is literally a message how consumerism and office jobs suck the soul and life out of people making their life miserable but commiting acts of terrorism and violence over this sense hopeless, is not the solution or a good thing at all.

Hell given fat's oft oinked "conservative" schtick, maybe staying with fat was something she felt obligated to do because of religion, or hell maybe she felt guilty abandoning such a spineless wretch. Honestly him repeatedly suicide baiting her any time she previously tried leaving him would be fully in character, and when she called his bluff he switched from suicide threats to homicide threats in narcissistic pig rage.
Obviously the above suggestions are mere speculation, but I think it is worth noting that when she was no longer just looking out for herself but her unborn daughter, thats when she seems to have gotten the courage to get the fuck out that fucking nightmare for her baby's sake as well as hers.

That's probably the most insightful thing yet, people (especially women) change significantly when it's not just them on the line anymore. The timing also fits with it, too. Living with an overgrown manchild might not be too terribly bad, like living with a baboon in the room, but once you realize your daughter will be helpless and there, too, you change. Fats is just the type to seriously harm or kill a child to show how "deeply" he is feeling whatever pig emotion he thinks is current year.

I can't for the life of me remember any music in the Matrix. Supposedly the soundtrack had Rammstein but they couldn't be arsed to let it be played in the movie. Judgement Night it is not. I can at least recall four songs from that movie.

I, for the life of me, can't really even remember most of what happened in The Matrix. The Matrix is a weird movie, it seems to have all of the details of it fall from my mind very quickly on rewatch. I was about to say that maybe the reason I can't remember it is because I haven't watched it since I was a kid, but then I realize I watched it several times since then. I haven't gone more than 4 years without watching it at point since 2004 when I first saw it. Yet the only scenes that ever stick with me are the more famous meme scenes, and mostly because I associate them with random memes, not because of their impact from the movie itself. I actually remember more about what the point of the movie was when it comes to themes and message than I do about the movie.
