People from the middle east, mostly Syria are fleeing to Europe because of war and poverty. People are dieing just trying to cross the Mediterranean. The EU is trying to solve the crisis while other countries are closing their borders.

While I agree that these countries haven't had equally much time to "thrive", I don't think segregation is the way to go to establish a growing country (if I'm understanding you correctly).
