Pat dragged his heels on the SFWA-funded lolsuit against anonymous trolls to the point where he lost the case. The judge has warned him that his shit won’t fly in this courtroom, and the sentence below the one @Useful_Mistake highlighted from that document warns the attorneys that he won’t deal with their incompetence or under-preparedness either. Seems like all parties have been told to come correct. For some reason I get the feeling that pats attorneys will end up excusing themselves when Pat starts childing them on the proper protocol of practicing law. I think the Owen fellas counted at least six attorneys Pat has been through since this retarded crusade began.

This is why if you're a lawyer, or even a criminal lawyer (which this retard is not), you don't represent yourself. It's not a universal rule. For instance, if I were defending a Greer-tier nut lawsuit (like the Swift suit and not the copyright suit), I'd probably do that myself because it could be batted away with minimal effort, but needless to say, in a capital case where this dimwit almost certainly actually committed the murder, you fucking sell everything and find the best lawyer you can buy.
That's a big red flag for a client. Eventually he won't be able to find any lawyers above Lionel Hutz level because nobody will want to take on a complete loser like this as a client, and even that guy will want a hefty retainer just to look at anything Piggy brings to him.
