There are a lot of yes/maybe answers in the replies. When you consider that taking HRT is a choice, they are effectively saying that being gay is also a choice and HRT is a form of conversion therapy by extension. I guess sexuality is an inherent and immutable characteristic only so far as it's convenient to your narrative. Maybe if gay men just took a bit more synthetic testosterone, they'd be able to inject the gay away.

Okay, I'm gonna write an essay on this.

Several headup:
  1. The scientific evidence is so overwhelming I'm not going to debate it.
  2. I'm a bisexual male. And no, I don't hate myself because of that.
  3. Depending on your ideological inclinations you mind find this post disturbing, bigoted, etc...
  4. Some things are oversimplified because life's too short

Drugs, hormones and behavioural therapy are proven to be able to modify someone's sexuality.

Let's start with DRUGS & HORMONES

Extremely common cases include:

  • Trenbelone, "trenbelonni" or tren- a commonly used steroid for bodybuilders and the like, a known side effect is making men tranny chasers, gay or bisexual, to the point there's memes about this. Men that are attracted to men, especially bisexual men, are way way more masculine than average, hormonally and physically speaking (penis length for instance).
  • Metamphetamine/Bath Salts/Cocaine- Hardcore stimulants can make someone "hypersexual" or "nymphomaniac" in a sense, stimulants are aphrodisiacs, that is, they increase libido. Some meth smokers are reportedly able to masturbate for days. There's some correlation between meth smoking and hardcore paraphilias like pedophilia and necrophilia.

The reason why it's controversial to homosexuals it's because it has a high cost and a low but still presing risk of getting George Floyd'd or gigaraped. Autism is considered a pathology and homosexuality is not, so it's used for one but not for the other.

It uses very simple Pavlovian principles, you reward good behaviour and good sincerely held beliefs, you punish bad behaviour and bad sincerely held beliefs.

The interrogations and negative reinforcement is what's considered by some henious, this usually envolves:
  1. Bleach applied to the nose and mouth as some kind of "softcore" waterboarding
  2. Wearing muzzles/masks with gasoline or bleach poured into it

  4. Small cuts or small burns to genitals or anus
  5. Acid applied to genitals or anus

45% of the recipients of conversion therapy end up with PTSD.
