so what does this mean exactly? it got accepted?
At this stage, it's the SCOTUS equivalent of the AGT staff member saying "good job" to Russhole after his audition, viz. they've acknowledged him but make no promises. Hopefully Null's appeal to SCOTUS will get a bit further than Russhole did with AGT.

I know this just means "it passed the bare minimum standards for filing so we won't play trash can basketball with it" but I think a little bit of hype is good for morale. I'm kinda treating this like a person playing the lottery, you don't play because you think you're gonna win, you play so you can daydream about winning and how amazing it would be.

Is this good? Bad? Did the courts cut Jewsh's dog ears off and just leave little stubs?
Three separate people addressed this in the last page. If you go another page back, two more people addressed it. Please put literally any effort.

Null's appeal is docketed:
"Docketed" means that a case has been officially accepted and entered into the schedule or list of cases to be heard by a court, in this case, the Supreme Court of the United States.

Once a case is docketed, it means that it has been assigned a case number, and all relevant paperwork, filings, and scheduling related to that case will be handled by the court. Essentially, it signifies that the court has acknowledged the case and will proceed with its review according to its regular procedures.
does this mean we beat the 1% of being accepted?

bro if you're going to post this in community happenings, people will 1) assume it is something consequential, 2) ask a question in the thread if they're not sure what specific legal terminology means. don't act surprised when people don't understand what it means. maybe clarify the feature byline with something like "this means nothing except that they've not rejected it for technicalities like font size."

After posting it in community happenings, I made a post explaining exactly what it means. So has @mindlessobserver , and a handful of other people. I'm just expecting people to read the page they land on. It's literally on the same page the community happenings link leads to.

The earliest this might get denied is on the 18th, when the Court will release its next list of Writ denials.
The most boring outcome is if it gets chucked at the trial court level because Russhole fails to comply with court orders, then found moot and cert. denied.

I will show up to DC in a green man suit and do cartwheels around the capital if this shit is seen by the SC.
If this thing hits the Supreme Court we absolutely need to get as many kiwis there as humanly possible its just to fucking funny.
Imagine Josh ascending the steps to the SC flanked by a hundred or so spergs in green suits and plague doctor masks. We can make this shit happen.

SCOTUS has surfed a myth and illusion of being "common sense" and "upholding the constitution" since Roe v. Wade.
Just like "All the Presidents men" was meant to make journos look like they have integrity this facade is crumbling.

They have a chance to do the right thing, I'd be shocked if they get far enough to even consider considering doing the right thing.

Clarence is too old for the pepperoni basement, enjoy prison.
You can't always use children. Sometimes you have to make special editions.
1. Of the 8000 or so petition filed to the Supreme Court, how many end up being docketed for meeting the bare minimum?

2. Does the fact that neither lower courts placed a notice hold any significance?
Being docketed is not a significant event. I mentioned it as an update and to show that we're now in SCOTUS' system; you can follow the case along from their website.

No. The clerk of SCOTUS will just eventually send a notice down like so:
