I think she meant social "cues". As in unspoken gestures/signals or hints.

She's quietly admitting she doesn't know anything about male locker room culture and doesn't know how to read the behaviors of the other men when she's in one. (Shocking!) Now, I don't know either of these people, so I can only guess, but if I were a betting man, little pooner, my assumption would be your guitar-playing male friend isn't a mentally ill insufferable narcissist with delusions of grandeur. My guess is that your friend, like a lot of guitar players I've known, is probably pretty laid back, relaxed, and fun to talk to, while you, on the other hand, are a thoroughly unlikeable pooner who can't help but shoehorn your gender activism into literally every activity you partake in.
