He then moved to San Fransisco, the most Asian city in continental America, and the most LGBT too.

To engage in a bit of armchair psychologizing, I've long suspected this is a big part of what drives LFJ: trying to make a name for himself through DEI activism shit since he was just another Asian dude True and Honest Woman in the tech industry otherwise. The things that came to light about him during l'affaire Damore, his claim to have "co-founded" the tech protest movement, his obsession with taking down KF – it all points to the inflated picture he's painted of himself in his head.

I think that's backwards - he was born and grew up in the Bay Area and moved to Vancouver later in life. His father's law practice is in SF, and someone dug up an essay he wrote about a fourth grade teacher of his who was murdered in Greece - the teacher worked at a private school in Oakland. Plus, he's shown his US passport in his boring-ass travel photos before.

Not that the distinction makes all that much difference since, as you say, they're two of the most Asian cities in all of North America. (lol)

He went to High School in Oakland, CA. Presumably the rest of his childhood was in that area too since he was also born in California.
I'm sure his fancy-ass-high-school was mostly Asian, but Oakland isn't terribly Asian friendly, even then. Berkeley was more friendly and SF probably had the highest concentrations then as well.
