My kitchen is a little tight on space, so I was hoping to put up some pegboards to hang the more odd shaped things from, such as measuring cups and lemon squeezers. The problem is that the best place I have to mount pegboard are the sides of my upper cabinets, which are 12" wide. IKEA (and Swedish imitation pegboard from AliExpress) are about 14" wide so I can't use them, and I'm finding a lot of difficulty finding peg boards that don't look like they belong in a garage. How should I handle this? Should I give up and just get a bunch of hooks? But then I can't fine tune positions and I make a lot of holes.

So, you want a woman to put something up your ass?

Whatever tickles your pickle. I wouldn't let a woman put anything in my ass. But I will put anything she wants in her ass. I'm pretty much down for anything except having stuff put in my ass and choking them. That's where I draw the line.

It's not gay though. If it was a guy doing it, then it would be faggot shit. Otherwise, it's just fucking weird.

Do whatever you want though. Just don't get anything stuck in there otherwise it's an embarrassing trip to the hospital.

wtf man learn to read

Go to home depot, get a saw, power drill , paint, paint brushes, a hunk of wood, and hooks. Cut it to 12 inches. Best I can do
This is exactly what I was going to say. That "garage" aesthetic will mostly be gone with paint and hanging pots/ladles/strainers.

Go to a lumber store and ask them to cut it down. Draw a pencil line first.
People always forget that you can have the store cut things for you, but it's very helpful (for transportation home, too). In my experience, they appreciate it if you write the dimensions down on a piece of paper you bring in, so there's less worry that you forgot or miscommunicated and are going to flip out at them.

@Betonhaus I don't know where you live or how permanent you want this, but Dollar Tree has its own line of pegboards that are domestic-looking and inexpensive, pretty much designed for kitchens and sewing rooms. (Lots of the photos are of people doing that yarn hoarder storage wall).

We do have Dollar Tree but it's out of the way a smidge. Would Rona have the peg board supplies, and is there a heavy duty paint I can use that won't chop or scratch and is easy to keep clean?

I'm no Canadian, but I checked their website and they do.

Those Dollar Tree small pegboards are notable not due to price point, but because they're small, plastic, and made to be (theoretically) removable.
if possible, wood stain
Wood stain rules but it wouldn't look great on particle board.

If you don't have extra paint saved that matches your kitchen, my fembrained house paint buying tip is to check the discount shelf in the paint section for mis-mixed pints. It's like letting the Hand of Fate give you paint options; sometimes they're all different kinds of off-white, but sometimes you end up paying a couple bucks for deep maroon paint and that is now what your project is all about.

How about getting some stainless steel sheeting and affixing that to the sides of your cabinets? You can get all sorts of magnetic shelves and accessories for storage and attach your own magnets to nearly anything. *Just make sure the alloy you get contains iron otherwise it won't be magnetic.
