Thanks for reminding us why #GamerGate got started in the first place, John.

For real.

An article that was written 'cos Cory is a friend of Frank, talking about an award that was granted because Georgia is a friend of Brianna. It's nepotism all the way down.

Besides the obvious answer regarding ethics in journalism, I still don't know how a professional game reviewer would ever give this game a "Game of the Year" award. @Jaimas said it best in his review on Steam, this game HAD the potential to be something good, but it was so horribly misguided and mismanaged, it turned out to be what we're laughing about now.

If a pro game reviewer honestly believes that the story, music, voice acting outweigh the incredibly boring combat system, pointless walking, and annoying QTEs which make this a "game", then so be it.

I can't believe I read so much of Wu's shitty story goddamn. I've never a seen a Mary sue so much before. This passage though..all I could think was I'd that what brianna thinks is going on while she's snarling at people while she talks? Then I remembered who it was and answered my own question..you know she does.

Allison Holiday was perhaps the best looking girl in any given room, but mostly because of her eclectic charisma. Her motions were exaggerated, because Allison lived life at a higher intensity level than the people around her

Call me a bluff old traditionalist, but surely the time to "look at this" would have been before you sold the game to people?

This isn't an obscure bug that happens on a Wednesday in June on a 20 year old Sparc Station. This is a bug that literally everyone experiences, which stops progress in the game. All you needed to do to find it is play through your game in its entirety once in the two years since Maria finished the coding.

Which reminds me - does the game this time around still have the Egyptian themed three-word code for 'the sequel' seemingly nobody - not even Wu - understood how it was generated as opposed to being randomly generated nonsense?

But as for any possible playtesting, I think the fact 'Special Edition' in full only amounts to graphic tweaks and reskins, and some optional cutscenes, while entirely dead code was ignored (in total violation of any idea of standard programming practices) and it is likely Wu simply skipped through scenes with the console command to make sure animations and graphical tweaks were perfect (read: the game didn't crash, everything else was gravy).

They also must have only playtested the final battle once WITH the mouse enabled, without considering the situation of no mouse support, thus missing this rather blatant game breaker bug. I suspect they're only even acknowledging it NOW because it is quickly becoming the biggest humiliating issue - how do you fuck up a simple QTE event in the climactic battle of a game unless you just don't fucking care about it?

Thank god that only five or six people will ever see it or even get that far.

Question about this bug: Does the game abort your action when you try to complete that QTE with the keyboard? Like it just gives up because you're using the "wrong" input? Or is it a bug in the timing for completing the QTE? It seems that all QTEs have a certain amount of time to complete the action, and maybe this is a bug where the timer was set to be hilariously quick (i.e. 2 seconds instead of 20?)

Wu's support of Apple is part of her standard approach. Take the contrarian position because she thinks that somehow makes her look smarter than the masses.

Also holy shit those fucking ear buds cost $160.

Faux contrarian. Nothing screams sheep like being first in line for the new iPhone.

The majority of the "Positive" reviews are just making fun of the game. It's hilarious
