This is why Bubba's AGP got so out of hand; he was dealing with it by repression via use of escalating, sexually violent pornography. Repression never helps anything; in this case repression just made the AGP worse and worse until he's skinwalking his wife, posting pictures of local children on porn subs, and fantasizing about murdering women. I'll bet porn played a large part in this. Crossdressing is one thing, but skinwalking and murdering and pedophilia? That's all because of porn. I'll bet his AGP would have eventually fizzled out, or at least been manageable, if he didn't continue to feed it with porn.
You can look at the writings of priests in the Renaissance and the articles today in non-western countries on how "there are Christians in apperance only" and not by deeds and genuine dedication.
C.S. Lewis did a good job of calling this out. In The Last Battle, a man who worshipped Tash was allowed to go to Aslan's country because even though he worshipped Tash nominally, his deeds, inner beliefs, and values were in a manner consistent with Aslan. Puzzle, the donkey who was tricked into pretending to be Aslan as a crude, cheap mockery that only served bad people, was allowed into Aslan's country because even though he did bad things, he wasn't evil -- he was ultimately loyal to the people he loved and truly never wanted to hurt anybody. In The Great Divorce, it is revealed that one of the most exalted people in heaven isn't some priest or powerful man, but an ordinary housewife who always did the right thing, always helped everybody, and always put others before herself.

That is true, but conservative belief systems where girls and women are openly viewed as subhuman and property of their fathers and then husbands instead of people make abuse inevitable.
Woke ideology is like that as well. It's nominally feminist, but the only "women" it serves are men who think they're women. Really woke people openly view biological women as subhuman by referring to them as "birthing bodies" and "menustrators" and so on; they also love to call black people and gay people "bodies". Plus, they love to talk about how "empowering" porn is to women and that women are just prudes if they refuse to engage in BDSM sex practices, which are all about dehumanization.
