Why do you think my fellow Catholics consistently vote Democrat? I have my reasons but I'm just curious as to your opinion on this, you seem pretty up to date with this stuff. I think some of it may be the large Catholic enclaves in the traditionally Democrat Northeast & New England states in places like Boston and NYC.

I'm in the majority as a dago Catholic in N.O. and as a youth I took this for granted. It wasn't until I moved slightly more north in the state and looked at maps online did I realize that Catholics are a rarity in the South outside of certain cities spread about the map. Particularly cities that had a lot of French, German, and Italian immigrants coming to them.

Pretty much the fact that naturally Catholic ethnic communities all stuck together in New England. That, and our people's history with Know-Nothings put a bad taste in a lot of historically aware Catholics. Doesn't help that most justifications for the whole Muslim immigration question are retooled arguments against anyone who isn't a WASP. The biggest thing the GOP has going for it is the divide between your orthodox Catholics who obey the Magisterium and the more heterodox Catholics like Kaine and Biden.

The 2012 election saw Obama wiggle out 2% more Catholic votes than Romney in part to the HHS contraceptive mandate.

I'm not saying the note itself and the doctor himself aren't shady, but at least Trump doesn't need men to hold him up during speeches, either. He at least appears healthy enough to stand. And he hasn't fallen (on camera) while climbing into airplanes.

Because HuffPo is a news outlet. Every major outlet has a certain demographic to cater to. The leftwing population doesn't want such an article. Remember when Shapiro left Breitbart when it was clear they were biased to Trump? Remember how they basically tried to smear him as infantile? That's because Shapiro wasn't sticking to the script. News outlet only care about the script. If you have an opinion that flies in the way of the script, you had better leave it on the cutting room floor.

I have to say, and I know its wrong and prejudiced of me, but I was suspicious of Romney due to him being such a big Mormon lol. Perhaps something to add to that list: the early French Catholic missionaries and settlers to the New World believed that by trading with, eventually befriending, marrying, and having kids with the natives, that the natives would, and they were correct in this thinking, that they would "become French", culturally.

On the other hand, you have the Protestants come in, the WASPy types, who believed in exclusion and only being "one of them" by way of birthright. After the Seven Years War when France lost it's Canadian possessions to the English, and the eventual sale and transitioning of French Louisiana to the U.S. the idea of natives adopting European culture was cast aside in favor of the policy set by the English and adopted by Protestant Colonial America to push the natives away, separate them, push them back until they were completely isolated and basically obsoleted by the expansionistic "Manifest Destiny" policy.

I shouldn't find this funny, but I can't get enough of the videos of Hillary coughing her ass off while trying to give a speech. It's so frustrating to see too, because she looks so determined to speak and get over those damn coughing fits, but she just can't do it. Her frustration is palpable. And then you have the crowds who don't really know what to do, so they clap when she has one of her coughing attacks. It's so awkward to watch.

No matter what their health is, CNN calling anyone who questions Hillary's health a sexist while the Huffington Post puts out articles saying Trump is more sickerer than Hillary makes the media outlets look ridiculous. Especially when HuffPo is deleting articles talking about Hillary's health.

They simultaneously attack the the idea of bringing a candidate's health into question while doing the exact same thing, and when McCain was running, that was one of the biggest things I remember on CNN. McCain being too old to be in office.

They used an online health calculator to determine his risk of a heart attack while deleting articles that link to a video that questions Hillary's health. They then claimed "SCIENCE SAYS" Trump is more likely to have a heart attack.

First of all, here's a picture of the same speech where she's standing normally.

Now, she may indeed have health problems, but there isn't any evidence to support this, just a bunch of pictures where a 68 year old woman acts 68 years old, just as there are pictures showing Trump (who does supposedly have a bone problem) acting like an awkward 70 year old, and no one accuses Trump of being physically unfit of running for office.

In addition to this, while I don't know the specifics, I don't think it is tradition for presidents or candidates to release their medical records, and there have certainly been several unhealthy or supposedly unhealthy people in recent years in high office, whether it be Obama's smoking habit, or Cheney's five heart attacks.

And to your last point, why? It's neither surprising or noteworthy that a left-wing news site wants to cover Hillary positively and Trump negatively. It's like being surprised that Breitbart is pro-Donald Trump. Both organizations are similar in that neither can be trusted for an impartial story, but then again, who can be?

Why does their health matter that much? Neither of them seem sickly enough to kneel over and bite the bullet withing the next 4 years (Bill aside). Besides, Kennedy, one of the most highly upheld presidents, was rather sickly.
