What's the point of using "gooner"?

It was common to refer to porn addicts as coomers, but suddenly they are referred to as "gooners".
What's the point of replacing an already established meme name?

I think it may be more apt to see the phenomenon as a biological regression to primitive forms of goddess worship dating back to the stone age. Porn addiction is often brought up as a concept on this site but no one really talks about what the end goal of it is, if it's a deliberately engineered issue. My hypothesis is that the gooner as an archetype represents the prototypical ancient yet new species of regressive human cattle that's meant to inhabit the world envisioned by the so-called 2030 agenda.
