All discussion of the candidates, updates and results should go here

For example- here's a video of Ted Cruz vying for world domination.

Also Hilary Clinton is a crook and nobody should have sex with her.

Discuss

(Note- The title will change as we get nearer the election, previous titles will be archived in the OP)

Pretty weird how BLM has shown up at everyone else but Clinton's rallies. It's almost like they're being paid by someone to agitate and disrupt everyone but her....

Nawww that's crazy
You're right, that is pretty insane to draw that conclusion. I'm pretty sure their agitation at a Clinton event put Bill in the hot seat over the welfare "reform" and crime bill fuck ups.
Didn't help that you have people like Tipper Gore trying to blame hip hop for violence. That was the replacement of the moral guardians' old scapegoat: rock music, and a predecessor to video games. Outside the DNC wasn't exactly a handholding event too. If I had gone through the trouble of having a political group go after my rivals, I wouldn't want them to hold a bigger protest at my convention than my opponent's.

I wasn't aware that BLM showed up at a Clinton event. Bill really did fuck up with his mandatory sentences, though to be fair they were a popular policy at the time.

And now they better admit their mistake and repeal it.

Yes, yes I know : Optimistic

Somebody needs to take away Trump's fucking Twitter.

His original tweet was deleted for mispelling his name! Also, not a good idea to come away from being linked with spicy boys and white nationalists and then linking a tragic story before tweeting your condolences. That is more than tactless, its just fucking dumb.

if you're going to go after a candidate for his grammar, you're either desperate for points or getting too hotheaded for politics. possibly both.

anyways, the point that trump is getting at is that when he is in power he'll stop these dumb shottings via wall yadda yadda classic political 'sweep-take'. ''oh hey the crops are rotten to fuck, vote me and you'll both get rid of the black plague AND the rats!'' it's simple and gets the point across. besides liberals have been doing the exact same thing for the past 2 decades as a staple for voting, i don't think that trump doing it is any different from back then to the now.

Or maybe you should get the name right the first time?

Maybe he should have made that more clear. Or maybe he should have not have turned it into being about him. I promise you that people backing Trump wouldn't have made your defense if it was Clinton doing this.

if clinton did the same thing most people 'in the middle' would go 'what the fuck' and vote elsewhere whilst trump people would go 'lol k +1 agree' and continue on with their day.

that or she'd do it in a 'AM I RIGHT, YOU GUYS? HOLLA IF YOU WILL, AT THESE BOYS *dab' whilst churning out the least relatable politimemes in history and nobody would go 'lol k +1 agree'

I'd say social media is to blame. It's given the crazies on either side a stronger voice, to the point where they drown all the moderates out.
Really, it's media in general. The internet has accelerated things, to be certain, but the 24 hour news cycle is where it all started. People can segregate themselves into their ideological echo chambers of choice, and make sure that the information they receive doesn't contradict what they already believe.

Didn't help that you have people like Tipper Gore trying to blame hip hop for violence. That was the replacement of the moral guardians' old scapegoat: rock music, and a predecessor to video games.
Video games are still a favorite for idiots to blame for violence. Hell, I was watching CNN 20 minutes ago, and that's what Fareed Zakaria opened with. I had to turn off the TV because of how absurd that argument is.

"I was watching CNN"

"watching CNN"

There's your fucking problem.

Its everywhere fam. Didn't Fox run with the whole "Vidyagames are evil" angle when they found out Adam Lanza played Mass Effect? Every media outlet is like a fast food chain: whatever you binge is going to fuck you up, but they know who their consumerbase is (except CNN it seems)
Never forget the day CNN jumped the shark

So somebody shopped an image that made it look like Ice Cube endorsed Trump? :story:
Stealing endorsement is not how you become the president of the United States, homie. Leave my name out ya mouth...

What a world to live in :sighduck:

Why do you think my fellow Catholics consistently vote Democrat? I have my reasons but I'm just curious as to your opinion on this, you seem pretty up to date with this stuff. I think some of it may be the large Catholic enclaves in the traditionally Democrat Northeast & New England states in places like Boston and NYC.

I'm in the majority as a dago Catholic in N.O. and as a youth I took this for granted. It wasn't until I moved slightly more north in the state and looked at maps online did I realize that Catholics are a rarity in the South outside of certain cities spread about the map. Particularly cities that had a lot of French, German, and Italian immigrants coming to them.

I kind of agree with that. Am I the only one who is completely embarrassed by both parties candidates at this point? I was kind of a Trump guy in the beginning, I liked what most people liked initially, that he was an "outsider" politically. He's run before but never with any degree of seriousness and I believe he was on the reform party ticket back then before Pat Buchanan messed everything up with that bunch. That, and the fact that anyone at the time who was going up against Hillary looked pretty good to me then, I just really can't stand that woman.

If old Bill was running I would vote for him in a heartbeat, I liked him. But Hillary rubs me the wrong way in just about everything she does. What pushed me over the edge happened years ago when she gave that speech in front of that black church congregation somewhere down South, and all of a sudden when she walked in the church and started speaking, she somehow channeled the spirit of a really bad actress trying to do a stereotypical black Southern accent (the one that doesn't exist outside of bad movies).

This was just so embarrassing, condescending, and pretentious that I just can't take her serious ever again. I know it may seem shallow of me, I have other reasons for disliking her of course, but this singular event really shows what kind of person she is, to me at least. You expect politicians to pander to their constituency and kiss a little ass, but she went 100% nuts when she did that IMO.

Can you link video? That sounds hilarious. Does it go into more into ebonics, drawl, or hick?

Hey, I'm at work an as soon as I get home I'll find that video and post a link on here for ya. Yeah, she doesn't do the ebonics, she goes into this weird drawl and starts saying strange things that you "might" hear in a movie taking place in a deep south, black, american town in the 1930s.

HuffingGluePost showing again that they are a shining beacon for journalism and spreading the truth.

Ignore her handlers carrying epipens, ignore her needing 2 people to support her while she climbs what looks to be 5 stairs, but Trump's doctor note was kind of weird, is Trump actually sick?!

When are people going to learn that deleting popular articles or videos are going to learn that it will only give them more exposure?

That's the "I am no ways tired. I's have come too far!" or whatever one, right?
