Shes a grown ass woman who buys kawaii shit instead of seeking help and is generally a shitty person.

BPD or not, Ashley needs a fresh dose of reality and not this bullshit "guise, its not her fault. Its never her fault." She is an attention seeking lolcow who never grew out of that teenage attention-whore phase.

Validating shitty actions is why we have so many shitty kids running around on ritalin while their parents go "sorry my child just kicked you in the shin, he cant help it", when all they needed was a fresh dose of reality.
 
Kids with ADHD are a whole different ball game and not really related.

BPD is an extreme mental illness that fosters cruelty and delusions in the victim.
It's really one of those situations where largely those who are responsible for her being the way she is are those in her support system, because people with BPD are usually incapable of seeking treatment on their own.

That said, it's incredibly hard to get someone into treatment if they refuse to go. BPD is an illness that makes people think nothing is wrong with them mentally, but instead that they are just innately shit and deserve the suffering, so they avoid treatment because they believe nothing is wrong with them.

Her actions suck, and for all intents and purposes she is a horrible person. She is also an incredibly sick person. Sick people can still harm others, though, and the fact they are sick doesn't lessen the pain they cause.

Also, bulimics are tough to treat because they vomit up everything, including their psychiatric medication. So on top of the BPD, there's that.

Imo she deserves equal amounts of sympathy and disdain.

If an alcoholic beats their spouse and kids, society doesn't pity them and say it's a tragic disease so we should just be more understanding. If a meth addict hangs around outside recovery groups shoving their drugs on others we don't say they're just trying to empathise and socialise with those they understand most and support their actions. Giving meth to recovering addicts is not considered a gift package. It's considered a fucking sick thing to do, and rightly so.

A starved skellington does not deserve empathy and understanding for sabotaging young girls' recovery. She's manipulating a death sentence on others to satisfy her own selfish wants.
 
More than likely, the white knight is that weird fetish guy who buys her stuff and follows all the skellies on instagram. I think his name is Hank? He's done it before in other places.
 
She def shouldn't be allowed on social media of any sort (or the Internet at all) and needs some pretty strong handlers.

Drug addiction and eating disorders are definitely related, and in both situations it's a really tough line to walk between being an enabler and being supportive.

I tend to think the sick person has gone too far once they begin to harm others, but then what? What do you do if they refuse treatment? I got no answers. I just wish someone would cut down her damn Internet so she can stop spreading her disease to others.

Remember that she's deranged outside of simple anorexia. She's one of the few people I've encountered who are anorexic out of spite.

Her plan is to cause as much pain to her mother and to recovering anorexics as possible before her organs finally give up the ghost and shut down. She will continue down this path out of a desire to hurt the people she feels have wronged her.
 
Anyway, I find it hilarious that Ashley decorated her picture with spooky Halloween stuff. The Skeleton War is starting early this year!
