She is also aware that she is dying, as other posters here have said. She's said that she hates her disorder. Why would she see encouraging others to die and be miserable like her as being nice?

Because she has no other way to relate to people and her obsession with weight and food is the one thing that her whole life revolves around at this point.

As was noted before, she seems to only truly connect with other Anos, but Anos who leave the circle are "sellouts". It's a really self-destructive clique.

I doubt she wants them to die, because those are her "friends". As a point of note, anos of her level are rather rare. Not all anos are skeletons and the average life expectancy IS 55 or so.

You could explain to us how ForeverKailyn attempting to rape her friend was typical girl drama, and just her way of being friendly.
...or clarify how Margaret Palermo tried to ruin her daughter's marriage and destroy her livelihood because she truly perceives herself to be a good mother and only wants the best for her ungrateful child.
...or inform us that The Fit Vegan Ginger believes she knows what she's talking about and feels her recipes are delicious, so it is okay for her to give dangerously flawed health advice to vulnerable people.

I am only posting as I see fit, at my leisure, as does anyone else. Perhaps if my posts are making you angry, you could justify why. This is a public forum, and the only thing I have done wrong was reject the prevailing opinions of the regulars.

It seems to me simply that this girl is not a saint or a villain, but just a troubled child, with severe problems and a deranged outlook on life and an unstable emotional state. That is all I wanted to say, and I have given my reasons why.

She used to be a troubled child. Now she's an adult woman with anorexia who is trying to drag other girls into death with her.
The forum here is usually okay with dissenting opinions if they make sense. Yours do not. You're trying to defend a woman who is cruel to everyone. Her mother who takes care of her, her "friends", everyone she comes into contact with.
Just because she's "deranged" and "unstable" doesn't mean she can be a bitch to everyone around her and have it be okay.

I only posted here because, for some insane reason, I tend to read through a thread before contributing. I also read through the German self-mutilating girl thread, but had nothing to add aside from the usual "this is not funny and I hope she gets help".

@TshirtTophat, let me put it this way: Just because you can understand and feel sympathy for a villain does not make that villain harmless. Quite the contrary, actually.

Trying to explain and justify her actions is just enabling this beast of a girl. Mental illness or no, Ashley is a harm to others and is set in her ways until she dies. No amount of 'unconditional love' will make her BPD go away. Nothing will.

She is a monster and will die as one.
