If Dave really would have cried during that scene, it's because he never had a moment like that with Kat or Leanna. He never goes with her to the zoo, or had a honeymoon with her, because WWE Champions is more important. He'll never have children, let alone grandchildren, because random people online named Snort and Doody have made him scared to go outside.

I don't think Phil is fake crying here. When a person is in a bad place "behind-da-scenes" it will tend to express itself through moments like this. You see the same thing recently with Idubbbz when he said ever since getting in touch with his empathetic side he randomly bursts into treats and cried three times at Puss in Boots. Phil is a manchild who never emotionally matured, and he is now dealing with middle age + personal psychological/spiritual issues that he has no ability to honestly admit, let alone address. Instead of doing serious self-reflection and working through some hard truths about himself he starts blubbing out of nowhere like he's PMSing. The trigger for those tears may be the Marvel movie sad scene :( but the real cause is beating underneath those D cups of his.

Just a bit of lore here (paraphrased). Phil told us the story of how he proposed to Kat years ago. They were at the mall and saw the jewelry store was having a going out of business sale or something. Phil said, "Hey, we should get married. Rings are cheap right now." and Kat said, "Okay, I guess". A truly romantic tale as old as time.

This is my thought in this case.

To be clear: I think his tears over T's death were bullshit both times, but the times where he's started tearing up out of the blue during gameplay (this and Chrono Trigger recently, but I believe there have been a couple other instances over the last year or two), I think he's getting "triggered" into wistfulness and melancholy. (Hell, given how bad an actor he's been shown to be in the past, I wouldn't be surprised if he actually channeled that consciously in aid of getting himself to cry while reminiscing on T. )

Granted, I could be wrong, but I am inclined to see these cases as a sign that, as much as he lies to both his audience and himself, deep down he knows how bad a place his life is in right now.

This is something that fascinates me to no end but I am not convinced he didn't pignotize himself as well. If he truly knows the depth of the shithole he is in, why does he keep spending thousands of dollars on WWEC? Is it only dopamine hits?

I've said it before but pignosis is 100% done for himself in mind. We've all told ourselves lies to convince ourselves we aren't at fault. Maybe we were later for work or rear ended someone but it isn't our fault because some other moron was driving too slow or some shit.

DSP takes this fairly innocent part of human psychology to the maximum and makes up every little lie for himself in mind. Why can't he improve his streams? No money and the trolls will fuck him over? Why can't he get a job? The trolls will harass him? Why can't people see he is the greatest youtuber ever and the greatest gamer in the world? People are jealous of his success and the trolls spread lies about him.

Gambler's high is a real thing. Realization only sets in after they realize they have no more money. Then they get more money and feel like everything is okay now, and start the cycle all over again. Phil's ego will never allow him to admit he has a problem or that he has made mistakes or that he is ever wrong.

I have said this a dozen times but if he ever loses 2-4 of his main whales he is going to be in big trouble. He is able to curb his addiction to a degree but he can never stop, and currently we are only able to to track a single game he is playing, should he be playing more than one game and spending on that one, he would very well be racking up debt again on gacha.

He is used to a lifestyle of gin, gacha, and doordash. Should his income drop even 15-20%, his lifestyle norms are in major jeopardy. It already seems like Kat barely cooks anymore, and I wouldn't be surprised if she spends money on certain games as well, though I doubt she drinks much if at all when compared to Phil. To allow your financial stability to be controlled by a handful of strangers you have never met and know nothing about is a wild way to live.

Also something to keep in mind is that he still makes $300 a month on Patreon for doing absolute jackshit and has freed up $400 a month from paying off his car recently.

Because Poor People love being poor and Philbert is a textbook example of a poor person. Is a poor person poor because they only make X amount of money? No, a poor person is someone who lives beyond their means. They are someone who refuses to take any fiscal responsibility, be frugal, save money, and try to maximize their potential future earnings whenever they can. A poor person will actively sabotage their potential to improve their lives by taking on debt and making frivolous expenditures for a few moments of pleasure or as a means of covering up some other failing in their lives.

If someone earns just above the poverty level but they're living within their means, in my opinion, they would not be considered poor but some little piggy that makes over 100,000 a year and needs to declare bankruptcy would rightly be called poor.

If ickle Philbert made a few relatively minor changes, for normal people with a modicum of self control, he would be doing fairly well for himself even as his earnings seems to slide year over year. However I think a combination of laziness, desperation, possible gambling addiction, and complacency will ensure that we have at least a few more years of begmentainment coming from DSP.

WWE Champions is a game where Phil can always win. Everything he does is correct.

As long as he is in the Snort Fort, and has his wife to maintain Mature Adult status, there is no incentive for him to change.

Most of us probably know people that when they have money, it must be spent. Phil just does it in the dumbest way possible.

Being in the WWEChampions guild acting the big bollocks is the only clout he has. There were leaks from the chat a while back and Phil was offering advice, and taking in plaudits for his roster size, and the phrase ''a very open wallet'' was used when our own lost son Nigel of UKIP started doxing them all

Phil has spent over half his life spending money he doesnt have for gaming clout, be it in school bragging about all the gaming shit he has to the poors, the FGC, and his own streaming career. And the five people he can out spend in his WWEChampions clan is all he has to show for it after blowing hundreds of thousands in his persuit for ''respect''. It's also a reason why his SF6 streams are such a shit show

I immediately thought back to that video of Phil at a pool party where he spent all this money/time to set up TVs with consoles up outside, along with a BBQ, only for him to film the entire thing as some sort of way to document how "cool" he is. Then there was him renting the BMW while not giving money to Rambo and Howard, not to mention all of the plastic crap he had accumulated. It was part consoomer, part stupid flex. And he's still doing it, but being paranoid about it.
