Besides the monetization, one thing that really rubs me the wrong way with the dating apps is how everything makes me feel like I'm sitting on my ass waiting for stuff to happen instead of being out there making it happen. With IRL, be it in a bar or study groups or just the usual cliques, if you want someone, you just walk up to them, ask them out, see what happens and follow the play through for as long as you can. You're always moving. "Take action to get action" so to speak. With the apps, you put up some personal info, some pics, and then swipe on a directory of women with the hopes that someone matches with you. Nevermind the bots, the scammers, the whores, that right there, the waiting, that really irks me.
I do think regardless that a connection happens when it's meant to happen. Not that it'll fall into your lap, but that going out and socializing or being active on an app are two means of getting to the same place. It just depends on circumstances, drive, and what you're looking for. Basically dating is hard no matter how you go about it.
Honestly in a perfect world, I wish porn was banned too. I generally believe society would be better off. My main issue with her statement is she's hating the player and not the game itself. Porn and the porn industry is the main problem. Women don't understand what it is like to have male hormones, well they do understand and call us horndogs but then they don't understand the part of how hard hormonal self control can be for men especially in this highly sexed up society. The porn industry is predatory and preys on a man's natural biological function and takes the natural act of sex and reduces it to a toxic drug-like momentary dopamine rush via porn that can become an addiction.
It's delicate balance. If people don't have the means to express themselves sexually, we end up with the road Japan's gone down and the sexual revolution in the US that gave rise to some of the worst shit imaginable. But if things are too oversexualized, we deal with a lot of the shit we're seeing now. In a perfect world, I'd like to see porn used more as an outlet than an identity or a lifestyle.

I always see women complaining the most about poverty, but they are also incredibly unwise with their money and pass the blame instead of taking action. If you have PCOS and fibruh and make very little money, it's probably not a good idea to drop all of it into fast food and luxuries. It's super common to see them say that groceries are too expensive as well when 80% of their cart is from the freezer section. To be honest I think a lot of it stems from food addiction that they are too embarrassed to admit to.
See this is my issue with Null. It's pretty obvious he wants to get rid of the right wing areas of the site and turn it into BP farms but he goes into BP and sees the literal "How to commit welfare fraud" thread and he knows that is not going to provide him any money or at least not to the extent he getting right now.
The whole dear principled leader bit goes out the window when you realize the only thing stopping him from taking his ball and going home is money. That's ultimately up to him but we could all do without the cloak and dagger BS. If you want right wingers to leave make a featured thread about it and tell them to fuck off. Doesn't mean they will but at least it's honest.

It's crazy how much it reads like one of those navel gazing female diary masquerading as a news stories you find in AH.
There's two things that strike me as odd here. We're all in agreement that these communities largely populated by women tend to be over-politicized with tons of infighting and a lot of apologetics for marginalized groups who eventually take over, right? The TERF-types are here because that happened everywhere else they used to post. So if the farms were to focus more on the BP side of things, what would make it different this time?
The second is that I only ever see A&H/N being mentioned when the man-hate regulars sperg out or when Josh posts in the thread. If it's really such a huge issue that is giving rise to threads like our humble big chungus hangout, then why is it only relevant to them? Wouldn't we be more obsessed about it than they are if we were motivated by it?
I yet have to meet a fashion doll hobbyist who isn't a flaming fag; however, I know men who help me with repainting and the like so I guess ymmv. Cars are different but I live in a city where owning a car is silly.
I find simply smiling and being polite with everyone helps. even if you have have to force yourself when you don't feel like it. I was raised not to smile like a retard all the time but it seems its expected in the US. Being polite is easy if you were raised to have manners.
Like most of those hobbies, it's almost always women or gays. Tabletop like mentioned previously and military dolls are dad hobbies so there's always a lot of cool guys into those. Some guys into Hot Toys collecting too. I just wish there were more people into the fashion doll hobby that weren't batshit insane.
Unironically. I know women get really pissed about "you should smile" comments, but it's part of socializing. I can't imagine not smiling as you pass people in public. It's just second nature to me.
