I really wish studios would just let directors/writers produce the media they wanna produce and let the trash be filtered out by the target audience. If it's bad you can cancel it and it'll be forgotten in a month. If it's good you might have another gossip girl or pretty little liars on your hands. Why keep trying to tie everything to established IPs and modern politics?

As a teen I enjoyed the hell out of shows like 15 Love, 6teen and Total Drama, you know, actual teen dramas about actual teen shit.
Not sure what young person, much less Canadian young person, would find this thinly disguised BLM ad entertaining.

Thought that show was pretty cool. It really doesn't take much to make a decent show that people will watch, but it seems like modern studios/networks are only capable of failing spectacularly at it.

I was going to think that "this retard thinks that because it 'doesn't air or stream in your country' doesn't mean that people won't get their hands on it one way or another", but this guy is nominally the director and should know how movies and TV shows find their way around the world.

Makes me wonder who the real showrunner is because it's definitely not him.

I feel like this show would have made a bigger splash 8 years ago when this shit was at a fever pitch.

Now? It feels like its way too late to even be controversial. We expect this nonsense now and most of us just plain don't care anymore.
 
Despot of Antrim made a video on this today too. Quickly becoming one of my favorite people who pick apart current year garbage media.
 
Huh. My kneejerk reaction was that our new favorite coping and seething director was striking down critical videos, but no one else seems to have been hit.

You know how amazon and aliexpress have those cheap china listings of bootleg LED rope costume masks of various movies and TV shows? The masks in this series look like they're those of that one recent kamen rider series that's like a tournament with the animal themed helmets. In fact I'd be honestly surprised f they weren't seriously look up "kamen rider tycoon" and compare it tot he robyn mask there's the same square-ish nose and everything.
