People with BPD can be very loving and devoted. My wife is BPD and she is the only partner I've ever trusted completely. 99% of the time she is a wonderful person, but when she is pushed too far, she becomes depressed and tries to hurt herself.
You just need to be patient and understand the condition. When they are in an abnormal mental state, they do things they wouldn't normally do.
As for compulsive serial killers, if they are deemed to be mentally ill, then they are treated accordingly psychiatrically, because our law recognizes that people who make decisions from a deranged state of mind are not culpable for the consequences.
Stop acting like you know every single sufferer of BPD just because your wife is one. Have you ever been to a psychiatric ward that's filled to the brim with those shits? Do you know what every borderliner on this planet thinks of 24/7? Everyone in Ashley's environment has been babying her and everyone gives her the love and attention she desires, but she's just being an ungrateful shithead. Probably partly because of her BPD, but mostly because she's a sad bag of bones. Whiteknighting isn't going to help her, you, or anybody on the farms.
